I'm glad you're still having fun with it AD! I enjoy reading your posts to see how it's going...

I'm wondering though, why kill Anise at all? I almost never do... though most of the time she gets herself killed by wolves or spriggan matrons, or even hunters while trying to set my tail on fire.

Anyway, her cellar never respawns, so you can just go down there and use the storage. Occasionally I've had things come out of the barrel that I put in there flagged as stolen, so it's a good idea to setownership on the barrel if you're using that.

I've never completed the Companion questline, and last time I tried it I was I think level 30 or thereabouts. Died in the tomb before ever reaching the final stages of it, and since it was a Dead is Dead character, it was game over and I never went back.

I often use her cellar to store things early in the game and i never had problems with my items being flagged as stolen.
Anise will turn hostile as soon as you open the cellar door, thus the need to kill her or get rid of her by any means...

Oh, I know she turns hostile, and takes up a position directly in front of and facing the door... But if you wait a moment or two, she usually says "What was that?" and turns off toward the river side of the cabin. When she does, I laugh and run out the door turning an immediate left around her garden, putting the cabin between her and I.

Then I just run off into the woods below and tunr toward the river, crossing it to join the hunter on the other side. Sometimes Anise will run into wolves while chasing me, or perhaps the hunter will kill her, but more often she just ends up going home knowing that somebody knows her secret after all... :)

She'll remain hostile from then on, and of course it's a matter of personal decision as to the course of action on the next visit.

As to the stolen flag, it doesn't happen every time or even every other time, but it is frustrating when it does. You see, the bottom line is that whether Anise is living or dead, YOU don't own the storage (unless you set ownership), and every now and then the game takes it seriously, just like Maven Black-Briar's horse.

She does until you steal it from her. Not a TG quest either, some french guy gives you the quest at the Bee and Barb. You have to steal the horse, and it's papers from mavens lodge down by Fort Dawnguard.

Of course then it's up to yo0u whether to give the horse to the Frenchman or just keep him.

In the old SLE game....your French guy (who is not actually French) Louis....once spoken to, spawned outside the Whiterun stables....and every time I passed by, another Louis Letrush would be added to the growing number of Louis'. At twenty or so, I had to start bumping them off.

Sah always gets the horse...."Frost" I have had it maybe twice....ever.

I stolen "Frost" many times, and usually I just give him the guy who looks French and has a French sounding name, but I've kept him once or twice... and each time I've regretted it.

I seem to recall the last time I gave Frost to Frenchie I carried on about my life quite merrily....then some time later as I was approaching the Twilight Sepulcher he came out of nowhere on Frost with some thugs eager to beat his brains in. They were successful and I got a new horse.

I loaded my character and Anise was waiting me. With the help of the two wolves nearby, i killed her, then i headed to Riverwood and took the quest from Lucan.
After a night at the inn, it was time to clear Bleak Falls Barrow.
The first major obstacle was the spider web. Apparently the werewolf claws can't cut through, but i can to it with my bare fists.
The second problem was that the undead are immune to fear and i can't eat their hearts to sustain my Beast Form. I had to move quickly and kill the final Boss before i turn back to human form.
I headed to Whiterun and gave the Stonetablet to Farengar, then it was time to kill Mirmulnir.

It's a habit to sleep for a night at the Sleeping Giant Inn before heading to BFB. By the time i get to Whiterun it's already evening and all the talking up at Dragonsreach take a lot of time, so when i head out to face the dragon, it's already night and i just can't tell the dragon to hold on while i take a nap...

The reason it's so dark is Purity mod and the weather.

Ah. Somehow I always seem to finish BFB at night, and then I sleep in Riverwood (or at Anise's Cabin since Delphine won't rent a room at that time) and leave for Whiterun about dawn.

Normally (not in this sort of competition) I use ranged weapons against the dragon, so I hate to fight Mirmulnir (or any of them) at night.

Nice go... Depending on my Load order , I either sleep or wait... I refuse to fight in the complete dark.. and what I generally use IS completely dark if the moon's or aurora's aren't out.. and if it's cloudy or stormy to boot.. I can just forget about seeing at all.

Last time I played through the Mirmulnir adventure, it was raining so heavily (weather mod) that it might as well have been midnight, for all that I could see. "I know you're there somewhere, Dragon!"
