Outstanding. Seriously. Yes there are issues - I'll get to those. But for sheer memory rewind to Oblivion.... JUST WOW. It's actually a pretty vast area. Some of the outlying parts of the map seem to be places that didn't have time to happen (and perhaps they will a while down the road). The central area around Bruma is pretty well fleshed with quest links and even things you might remember from Oblivion. The quests are not identical (probably due to beth disallowing that sort of "rewind") but they are reminiscent. The scenery is.... to die for. I go off into memory about every time I turn around, complete with tears in my eyes - and a great deal of that is due to the soundtrack. There is a "main quest" though it's - not all that main. Nothing like as long as the Skyrim or Oblivion MQ. It's interesting and involving - and if you complete it, that's when you get to buy a house in Bruma. Now - the bad stuff: Almost every fairly lengthy quest line has issues. There's a couple I haven't been able to even get started. The MQ is persnickety in the extreme. You have to be good with looking things up, and good with the console. This is seriously too bad, because if these people just got their shit together, this could be easily as good as or even better than Legacy. Unfortunately, the BS: Bruma crew aren't.... as meticulous and involved as the LotD crew. Bottom line: I've enjoyed hell out of it. But it needs help. |

Well bummer, sound's like a bunch of problems, with the quest-lines...hmm might be worth it for the exploration though. Be better to be able to buy the house and then explore! Might have to start another character if it's that picky.. just so I don't mess Kyries files up. |

Yeah. If you want to keep Kyrie for other stuff, do someone else for Bruma. *sigh* I still don't have the stick from Ice and Picky - not sure what's up with that. If I don't have it by the first of the week I'll just have daughter get it for me. |

Not a problem on my end... I have patience... and maybe they are working on some fixes and such and want to put them on the stick before they send. |

There's a really nice house mod for Bruma now. Cloudshelter. It's small but nicely done, much "homier" than White Pine Lodge which you can get that's right in Bruma. I didn't like White Pine Lodge very well, and wasn't in the mood to "redecorate" the entire place. Cloudshelter uses General Displays to provide some displays for things like Divines Amulets, Elder Scrolls, etc. |

Cool that's good, I'd rather know I could explore, if it's really buggy. |

I haven't had all that much that I consider "buggy beyond belief". There's one quest that won't start (the one that takes you to Frostcrag) and not getting any help on their forum. I'm down to clearing dungeons and exploring myself. |

That's too bad about the bugs. I assume you got the latest patch? Didn't Andra have a post somewhere about this mod, and said that it was working well? Speaking of which, have you heard from her lately? |

Nope. She's okay - posting on nexus mod pages. *shrug* I don't know if we pissed her off somehow or what.... I have the 1.3.2 patch. I still haven't got that Frostcrag quest line to start, but it's a mage thing anyway, and I don't do mages.... mostly. |

Now, here's a real problem that BS: Bruma is causing. New game, haven't even gone to Bruma yet - but holy SHIT.... every time girl opens a door, walks into a room, opens a chest, wardrobe etc etc ad infinitum ad nauseam - havok goes BONKERS. In fact, simply walking into a vanilla space like the Sleeping Giant.... it's.... unreal. I played the whole mod a couple of times. It was fun. I'm done though - man.... bonkers havok is just NOT something I want going on. I pm'd BellatrixII about it (one of the BS:Bruma team) - no reply. Okay.... done. [Uh - should have stated up front that starting new girl/new game with BS: Bruma out of load order didn't have the issue....] Edited by Serethil, Aug 31 2017, 09:46 PM.

Yup. Playing it was fun. So fine - I've played it. Hmm Odd thing.... the playthrough where I didn't have the issue was - I added BS: Bruma in mid-play. Oh well, I'm not going to beta-test for them..... |

Um. I have to revisit this. Because the havok issue was NOT Bruma's fault - it was me forgetting to remove the scripts associated with HDT High Heels.... Ugh. Sorry. |

I didn't think that Havoc NEEDED a reason to go crazy! Every so often, I'll get a session where I start "projecting". Walking up to a table knocks everything flying, and the NPC's tell me to watch it, or be careful. It's really noticeable if I am near water, and I'll see a stationery wake in front of me. I've had this appear for no reason on several occasions. It always seems to go away when I exit the game, and resume playback. I always figured it was just a part of the screwed up mess that passes for physics in this game!!! :wat: |

Well, it's absolutely true that the physics in this game are.... not at all what they should be. I attribute that to the probability being very high long before game release that beth simply didn't have any other option - the game engine was set in stone, and it wasn't the best choice, but they had so much money involved by that point.... |

Two things... One....the 'projecting' still occurs in vanilla from time to time. Like m'lady sits at a table and the plate/cup literally 'pings' off with much gusto. I just put that down to the Contessa's petulant temper :P Two..... On Beths mod site....BS Bruma is shown as available for Xbox1 ! When Adella's Trial is finished I will have to try it....but hells bells....if it screws up on pc with all your consol command tricks, I can't forsee much success on XB1 eh! Still we are not ready for that yet so maybe the Bruma team will patch it a bit! |

I once spent hours and hours decorating my little house in Bravil... Pictures and statues, meals and silverware on the table, the whole freakin thing, eh? So then, without adding any mods or making any changes, I walk into my little hose one day, and it was like somebody set off a mini-nuke... Everything started flying, it looked like a scene from Poltergeist, and I couldn't figure out whether to go into the light or run like hell the other way, I spent hours and hours putting it all back where it belonged, and the next time I walked into the damned house, it all exploded all over again. That was the end of my decorating period in Bravil... |

I didi the same thing in Breeze home... spent hour's putting helemet's on the shelf over the chest.. all was fine until Tara put a Dwemer helemet there, then boom.. one day it exploded.. and I had to do it over again.. I figured it out ,the Dwemer helmet had something wrong with it cause the rest of them stayed on the self the rest of the game... 200 + hours. |

In Skyrim on PC, you can decorate using various resources along with Jaxonz Positioner. It even has a "lock down everything in this cell" option - which I never even had to use. Combined with FPI Gallery for Console Decorators which contains mostly statics - hundreds of them - and house decorating is a LOT easier and better than in the past. The issues with things like helmets is that they aren't statics. And even plates and food need to be "staticized" so the game physics doesn't mess with them. That's what FPI Gallery's author did. |
