I'm thinking about adding Wildcat to my game, to spice up the combat a bit, and have a few questions for anyone who has used it. Preferably on PC. Wildcat I remember seeing that Rick, and I think Poncho were running it, but since Rick is on console, I'm not sure if he can answer some of my questions. First, does it actually do more than just tweak the damage levels that are given and taken? I'm on Legendary at level 65, and I don't want something that just makes me have to hit the enemies an extra 15 times to kill them. I want them to actually fight better. It looks like on the mod page, that almost all the mod settings can be toggled on/off. I'm wondering if they can also be adjusted. In other words, if I don't like the preset levels, can I adjust the amount of damage received and given via the MCM? MCM It also looks like if I don't care for the mods effects, I could pretty much shut it down by simply toggling everything off, rather than risk borking my game by trying to uninstall it later. Is that correct? |

I can't answer most of that because I have never used Wildcat's.. I use different mod's to make my game harder. But it does look like you can disable everything in the MCM menu if you decide that you don't want to use it.. It does say that it is "light script".. but that just mean's it has a script and of course should not be taken removed from your load order. I prefer to use ASIS and OBIS both effect melee and magic and have MCM menu's to toggle. |

Hi Volstag, I had to give up on it.....it was too lethal for a DiD play. It does ramp up damage delt and taken. It also improves npc Ai so they no longer just stand and sponge hits. It makes you die easier once already hurt....thats a game killer for me. It is not so severe as to be unusable....by any means, but trying to keep a char alive....especially at lower levels...is too difficult to be survivable over the long haul where statistically its already highly probable death will result. All I can say is try it and see if you like it....fights will be more edgey....and risky....you will die more often! |

I've been playing with Wildcat running for about 10 hours now. I'm still not sure if I like it. I think it's made me a tad overpowered, since I'm one hitting most lower level opponents now. Although, it IS nice to be able to take a Dragon down without turning it into a pin cushion! The flip side, is that it lulls me into a false sense of security! Twice now I've had opponents get behind me, and the mods mechanic lets them do a LOT of damage in one or two hits! I actually had to temporarily break off a fight with 3 Morag Tong assassins to heal, because there was an archer behind me that was about to kill me. I also got killed by bandits when I fast traveled to Heljerchan Hall. They spawned behind me, and the Chief, and I think one of the regular bandits got in power attacks on my back before I realized they were there! :$ Even though I'm killing a lot of opponents more easily, it has definitely added a level of uncertainty and excitement to combat. One opponent is pretty easy now, but if another one, even low level gets behind me, things get dicey QUICK!!! :scared: Overall, I'd say it does what it claims, and puts some spice back into combat! :thumb: |
