Oddness . . . . Either Thieves Guild Requirements or College of Winterhold Entry Requirements caused CTD's on load. Gonna check their Nexus pages for incompatibilities. |

They're working now. I reinstalled them one at a time, and all seems well. |

Sometimes NMM doesn't handle script installing well, along with its inability to correctly UNinstall.... |

I've been using Wrye Bash this time. Have it mostly down pat, too. I think it had something to do with them activating concurrently. |

Could be - I've never used the CoW one. Don't do mages. When I need to get to Urag, or the Midden, or get the other piece of the amulet, I either coc where I need to go (the Arcanaeum or the Midden) or player.additem. I just refuse to mess with the whole college quest line. The last time I did was on a Breton I was going to play as a mage - and the quest line turned me off so much I deleted her. |

Pro tip: unless I am doing something wrong, Wrye Bash doesn't install FNIS or Dual Sheath Redux correctly. |

Ok.. I have NmM as my Mod Organizer.. but this is the way FINIS is in: PC > Windows C > Games > NMM > Skyrim > Mods > FINIS DSR is the same.. ( make sure you have followed the direction's on the page about "set up" that's the #1 thing that is a pain.. if you don't do it it doesn't work.. SkyProc stuff I did the Desk top short cut with Wyre Bash.. once it was loaded.. but opened it from a copy that I put on the Desk top.. So it's not really in the same place it would be if you has it as a Mod Organizer. |

It actually didn't install the tools older that contained FNIS or the SkyProc folder. I had to install them with NMM. |

OH.... I don't have the full version.. so I don't know how it would load. Then again, I learned to manually download everything.. and have NMM grab it with the + find from download. |

It all worked out in the end. All my mods are installed and working! Cain is officially back underway. :) |

There are some files that Bash doesn't know where to place (even though the folder structure looks obvious) but there's a tab for the skipped files, so you know which ones to place manually. I suspect they're just trying to avoid overlaying files in locations where conflicts are harder to resolve, because the purpose of those files is obscure. It's safer to do nothing and tell you, than to do something bad. Using NMM probably goes the other way. I'd always copy in the skipped stuff myself. Edited by ghastley, Oct 9 2017, 09:29 AM.

I've only learned the basics of WB, so I'm not even sure where to see if it skipped files. I'll have to look into that! |

The "skipped" tab is on the right side of the screen on the top half under the installers tab, along with the "conflicts" and other tabs, like "matched," mismatched", etc. You can also right click on the mod on the left side of the screen and select "override skips" to get Wrye Bash to install files it would ordinarily skip. |
