earlier start works for me, I have a 4 day weekend coming up, was hoping to get a lot of hours in over those days, for the week following (ending 5th November) I'll be working a lot of early shifts that will mean early nights and not many hours. No idea whats happening 6th onwards....will be waiting to hear if I still have a job/get a new job :) I'm debating going sword and board/spell and board in order to utilise some of the artifacts...but might go full mage and just hoard them instead |

If no one objects, I'm going with my full mod load (which I will post in my official entry.) This means I will be using Classic Classes, which provides a 10-point boost to starting "class" skills, and a permanent "Birthsign." I'll make note of the skill levels changes in my entry. To offset this obvious advantage, I'm going to be going with full-on Frostfall/Camping/iNeeds (except for the Deadly Diseases option.) Combined with the lighting/weather mod I use, this makes survival quite challenging. And encounters with frost magic are especially risky. The reason I want to do this is that I have just really gotten into playing with the survival mods, and I want to continue, but I think Frostfall makes the game too dangerous for competition without some kind of offsetting "boost." |

I'm starting to get a little nutty waiting for the comp to begin. Trying all kinds of weird things. I created a character named Abacada Cabba, who would use only the first six skills, alphabetically. That's Alchemy, Alteration, Archery, Block, Conjuration, and Destruction. The funny thing is that the combination is as workable as a lot of more "sensible" approaches. The biggest difficulty I have is getting along without Sneak, with any combination that doesn't have it. But I'm going to keep trying. Better tie down my "sneak finger" so I don't keep crouching! :) Let's see...Smithing, Alchemy, Enchanting, Pickpocket, Sneak, and Restoration...Well, maybe not... ;) |

...And then again, there's Gnasha gra-Nola. Smithing, Alchemy, Enchanting, Heavy Armor, 1-Hand (dual), and Archery. I just started test-playing her, and she's already speaking to me, in a commanding voice. It's hard to say No to an orc. :D |

Yeah, she's persuasive. :) The trouble with Gnasha is that, for whatever reason, all of the random encounters are dangerous. "Left for Dead" dropped her at Alftand, and the random spawn at the pass south of there was the gang of bandit bosses. She got around them (climbing rocks), and ran into the two mages on the other side of the pass (killed them). At the next corner it was the roadside "gut you like a fish" bandit. Killed him. And it's a raging blizzard, so you can't see fifty feet. And the total of her useful equipment is iron boots and helmet, and the sword from the Arkay shrine. It's a good thing I didn't name her Lucky. ;) |
