I think Sven on or Faendal might meet an untimely end when I start the Boethiah quest.

Not as glamorous as you might think being a conductor (already work as a conductor on the local trams) but it would be a good job, not too different to what i'm currently doing and much better pay :)

Can't say I've ever taken Sven with me as a follower....Faendal had the option, but I don't think Sven did first time I checked so I always went with Faendal. I'd be tempted to take Sven though, get him out from under Mummy's skirts and get him some real money (when I play a nice person my followers get to keep any gear I give them as a gift plus around 10,000 septims as a thank you/apology for putting their life in danger).

By the time I was finished outfitting him and sent him on his way he'd probably have enough value on him to buy the whole of Riverwood and oust that pesky elf anyways

Funnily enough, it'd be the first time for me, too. I've used Faendal a couple of times, but he is very squishy.

He does get very extra squishy very quickly, but handy for an early game distraction/bodyguard

AFT should change that though, because the mod makes all followers level along with you for as long as you keep leveling

I might do that actually....run a dragonborn who takes wannabe adventurers under their wing, start with Sven, then Erik....then mod children into followers so they can be trained into the next generation of heroes. One child to protect each hold

AFT. . . .I need to install that mod. I knew I was forgetting something important.

You know what would be really cool? To do Boethiah's quest, and when you get to the sacrifice part, sacrifice Boethiah... to Sheogorath, or something. ;)

It would be great if we could have Daedric Princes interacting with each other. We haven't really had anything like that since Azura's quest in Morrowind.

I re-created one of my Oblivion characters in Skyrim. Phoebe was Sheogorath, after all, so there's no reason as mad-god that she wouldn't have survived since the 3rd Era.

The meeting with Sheogorath was weird and fun. Two pieces of a broken daedric mind, meeting inside the mind of a dead emperor, and one piece banishing the other back to the Shivering Isles. It was the only time I've done that quest where I felt it made a kind of sense.

Got a jury summons today for the 26th of Oct. Hopefully if I get picked it's a one day trial. Dang real life trying to interfere with our comp.

Question regarding oopsies. I know they were a thing originally, but then later on folks decided they were too restrictive. Example, one couldn't do radiant quests like helping Amren if one didn't have 1h & Block as skills.

My question is do we want to do the oopsies thing and have the headache of remember not to pick up a book or do a quest for someone without first ensuring they won't up a non-chosen skill or do we want the more relaxed game play that doesn't worry so much about non-skills going up as they aren't being actively used?

*gawds Bram MORE questions, I know, I know I'm a Pesticus in the Assicus* ;)

I like relaxed...

How about something like.. No penalty but also.....NO "paid" training in non-chosen skills... IE if Amren give's you training as a reward for his quest.. peachy.. You pick up skill book..or three.. ok.. no prob.

As our 1st comp after a long break.. we might not want to errr kill ourselves..

I like relaxed, too. I always manage to pick up the wrong books, or else I'm so worried I'll do it that I avoid picking up the right books. :)

It's annoying trying not to block or sneak, too. Blocking is a natural reaction for me, and even with barbarian characters I catch myself crouching when I see an enemy.

Well, even a barbarian would crouch if he saw a dragon. :)

I don't intentionally block when playing a 2Hander, but I often do it reflexively, because I play 1Handers a lot.
