Another Lord is pleased with my efforts, and the Mace of Molag Bal hangs from my belt. The townsfolk of Markarth make a wide berth around me as I passed through, and many ran in fear at the sight of the evil weapon before them.

I heard a rumor concerning the Hall of the Dead, and thought it best to ask the Jarl what the issue seems to be. These "esteemed" rulers always seem to be looking for a hand with matters at home, rather than handling the dirty work themselves. My instinct old me that more is afoot than they realize. It wasn't long before I was brought to the Shrine of Namira. Cannibalism isn't really my forte, but its never wise to defy the Daedra. I may not like it, but I will not fail her.

The taste was sweeter than I thought it would be. But maybe that was the wine's influence. I don't think I'll be tasting the flesh of man anymore, but after a night of debauchery in the Hall of Namira, I feel very refreshed.

I checked the almost forgotten journal given to me some time ago by Silus, and realized how close I was to the next piece of the Razor. After breakfast I head for Dead Crone Rock, and once I've dealt with Drascua, it will be time to return home. Ghunzul has apparently set up his steading in the woods of Falkreath - right on the way back to Lakeview.

Wow - lot of consorting with the daedric princes going on there! Nicely told, and gee - they owe her a lot of favor. Hope she gets to collect somehow, other than just weapons and armor she won't use....

Faendal as steward.... I didn't realize you could use him as one. Of course, I don't ever bother with stewards anyway!

[Edited because I blew the gender.... duh]

It feels good to be home again. The armory is complete, and I can finally display all of the rewards I have been blessed with.

Next week, I journey to Dawnstar. The pieces of the Razor lie safely in my backpack, ready to be reforged. Silus is a fool if he thinks I'm only in this for the money. I do prefer my Ebony greatsword, but I will not deny the power of having Mehrunes Razor strapped to my belt. One never knows when they will need to work silently.

After that, I need to try and find another one of those vile Falmer creatures. The essence extractor is now missing only one vial.

The Razor is mine, and the shrine itself was packed with valuable treasures. Not even the Dremora Dagon unleashed would keep me from the riches inside.

I headed south to Whiterun afterwards, in hope of news pertaining to the Falmer. They were a growing menace, so I did not doubt that the Jarl or his steward know something of them. That proved true, and they directed me east, to Shimmermist Cave. I found what I needed not far inside the dark, brooding caves, and quickly ducked back out into the daylight. The extractor was now full, so I began the long march back to the northern ice fields beyond Winterhold.

The boon was far greater than I imagined, and the Oghma Infinium now rests among the other artifacts in the Armory of Lakeview.

I do not know where I shall go next, but only four of the Sixteen remain for me to seek.

Finally caught up, too. Last night was the latest return to Lakeview. I'll probably head to Riften next. Malacath's quest is on the way there and I've got plenty to do before Nocturnal's begins.

Gotta wait til level 30 for Boethiah, and Mephala only triggers after Dragon Rising is complete.

Dragons. Yes, dragons. Cutting through Helgen to Ivarstead was a terrible idea. Now I am heading out to Whiterun tomorrow at the behest of the fools in Riverwood. If anything, that n'wah Ralof should be making the trip - he owes me. Whatever. I'll just take the carriage to Riften after I deliver this pointless message.

Still. . . . something about all of this makes me feel uneasy.

Dragonborn. Apparently, this is the reason for all of those echoing word walls seeping into my very existence. The power I could wield is tempting, but I have a different purpose right now. Maybe after I please my lords, I can focus on this newfound power. The rush of that first shout was something else, though.

That sod of a guard nearly fell on his ass, just from my speaking of a simple word.

Tomorrow, I will head for Riften. It's the only town in this Gods-forsaken land that I haven't set foot in, so I don't doubt that one of the Sixteen will be influencing it in some way. In the meantime; Belethor had a book that peaked my interest - Nightingales: Fact or Fiction?

The aforementioned book absolutely confirmed my feelings toward Riften. It's a known location of the Thieves Guild, and even in Morrowind, the Nightingales are rumored to be associated with them somehow. Nocturnal will no doubt be having an effect of some sorts on the Guild and it's members.

In the meantime, though, Hulda mentioned something interesting over breakfast this morning. Apparently, one of the Jarl's children have taken a funny turn.

Looks like a stop at Dragonsreach is in order before I depart today.

It was a welcome surprise to be whispered at by my Lady Mephala. Only the Lady Boethia remains of the revered Daedra who have yet to grace me with their summons. But, I digress. Mephala was indeed influencing Nelkir, the spawn of Balgruuf. I normally loathe to interfere with the business of my Lords, but the Whispering Lady promised me an excellent boon if I followed her and Nelkir's instruction.

And now, the Ebony Blade is mine. It's powers or legendary, but I've no friends to ensnare with it. Faendal is just hireling, and I've kept a low profile until now. I think I will display it at Lakeview with my other artifacts. For now.

The carriage I instructed Faendal to hire finally arrived, while I was away at Whiterun. Not wanting to walk through Helgen again, I had the driver take me to Ivarstead where I will continue on foot to Riften. One never knows what she will come across in the unexplored wilds.

Ivarstead is a quaint little town at the foot of the Throat of the World. The mountain is impressive, and I cannot ignore the fact that the Greybeards await my presence on it's slopes. But my destiny lies elsewhere. Tomorrow, I head to Riften.

Azura, Boethiah, and Mephala, I pray that you will guide me well.

Finding a Daedra Heart and Troll fat will not be an easy task, but I will not fail Malacath. Atub is irrelevant, but she is correct to try and appease out lord of Bloody Curses. This Yamarz must be a truly weak Orc, if he cannot even protect their Stronghold from the Giants. Doubtless, there is an alchemy shop in Riften. I will begin my search for supplies there.

Fortune seems to be following me along my journey. The deep woods seem empty of predators, and the Giant fell easily to a well placed strike of my ebony greatsword.

Nocturnal must be guiding me. I shall say a prayer to her before continuing on.

Something catastrophic has happened to Nocturnal's influence. I can feel that in my very being. She has turned away from the Guild in a way that I have never before seen. Delvin recognizes the partial truth but is a fool to challenge it the way he does. Something at the Guild's core is the true cause - of that I am certain.

I've never been much of a thief, but I will do what I can to discover the truth of these matters.

But first, I must tend to the Lord Malacath. He is not known for his patience in matters of importance.
