ghastley, the towels are fine now. The salon building goes fine, and the whole thing actually works fine if you use the Lakeview start in LAL as well. However, the workbench is still there and there's still no way to remove it. Now the other things: when I ask her to put on her armor she says I talked her into it and then instant CTD; if I get her to Lakeview in the original dress then Conina never goes into the salon. She paths outside to the clay pit and the ore veins. I went to Riverwood, had her follow me to Lakeview, she offered to be steward, I said yes. Then she just does her thing outside, and doesn't even really have convo options - she'll say she'll put on her armor and again CTD, but if I select I need you to do something, she says what do you need, but has no further options. Telling her we need to part ways sends her heading back to Riverwood. The only way I've got her into the salon is by saying I don't think she's suitable for the steward position, and then walking inside; at that point she follows, and if I tell her to "wait here" she stands by the door. Now, I'm not precisely sure what she's really supposed to do.... Edited by Serethil, Nov 14 2017, 01:15 PM.

I think the steward staying outside is the standard game's AI. At the point she becomes steward, she's no longer a follower, but you can ask her to follow again. However, once you designated a steward, I don't know if you can change that post. Since I never hire the bard or carriage driver, and do all my own building, I rarely appoint one. The armour outfit issue is XPMSE - the pre-requisite that I forgot to mention. That provides the extended skeleton with the jiggle bones that the armor I adapted needs. I could have un-jiggled it, but decided I preferred her that way. Jiggle requires FNIS as well (for the updated animations that include the jiggle) but the skeleton alone is needed to match the mesh. I've been using it forever, and forgot about others not having it. It exists for SE and even on the XBox, although there's no FNIS for that platform. The dress does not include jiggle, so it doesn't cause any problem. There are no extra bones in that mesh. I'll have to re-check that workbench issue. The fact that you only get one, but it won't go away may indicate a recipe error, which may not need a restart. Edited by ghastley, Nov 14 2017, 01:54 PM.

I never use stewards in my games, nor do I ever have followers, so I really have no clue what the standard AI does. I also don't use the skeleton or FNIS, or "jiggle".... You may get better input due to those from Areial, who does use them. |

Here's the new one with the workbench fix, anyway. Conina_05.7z Areial, did you enable Conina.esp or ConinaCompanion.esp? If you went for the "light" version which is Conina.esp, then you need to use the console command "SetStage Conina 100" to enable her. The two parts of the light one, enabling her, and enabling the Salon, are console driven, so you can play as her, and leave out the Salon, because you already built entryway furnishings. Purple means missing textures, but invisible (usually) means the mesh has invalid partitions for the skinning. Except that that's part of the common folder that Serethil tested. I also note that her boots are brown, but should be green, which takes me back to a texture issue. It's not making sense yet. That screen's quite helpful. I can see that her ID CA00335C looks correct, and the initial stats are right. Something's working, at least! I'd have expected a giant exclamation mark if the mesh was missing, but just in case: did you install the "00 Conina Common" folder as well as the 02 Conina Light? That has all the meshes and textures in it (and some of the scripts). Edited by ghastley, Nov 15 2017, 10:09 AM.

Well, some of the stuff that happened to me was due to not having the skeleton and HDT mods. Everything else was fine in my install other than me being clueless about how followers and stewards work! And one thing I did not do was furnish Lakeview, which might have made a difference in how she "acted". |

AFT would not activate on her.. so I went back out.. uninstalled AFT reinstalled AFT and it activates.. but I still have part of the same problem.. The Face gen files are missing from the common, which accounts for her pale face, but the non-rendering meshes remain a mystery. Her boots have a standard mesh and new texture, so the fact that they show is not much clue. All the new meshes provided by the mod aren't showing. The one screen that does get me thinking is the "help dress" results, which shows her dress as "C9000D64", but the load list has Conina.esp as "C2" and C9 is the bashed patch, which wouldn't normally have taken it over.. Conina herself is a "C9" , too, |

I started a whole new file last night.. only 80 some mods total, had to add in HDT, cause it wasn't in that load order. Same results. I thought their might be a chance of a conflict. So that load order had no followers in it, no changes to NPCs. Nothing th at coulld be considered an "advantage/ disadvantage mod" ( with the sole exception of Divine elegance) for a DiD competition. I'll move some things around.. and see what I get. |

It may be interesting to just start up the last save without the Bashed Patch, to see what happens. A BP should be an optimisation of what's already there, adding nothing of its own, so the game should work without it. Leveled list merging etc. won't affect the loading of items that are already in the game. |

I can try that with one of the test characters or the other. . The minimal mod one really doesn't need a B.P. as nothing is level listed in its load order. I'm still at work for another hr or so. |
