Mod converting for SSE

There's an armor mod I used in SLE(https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24342/?) and I want to convert it to SSE for personal use. MA hasn't gotten around to it yet.

How would I go about doing this? Can I just load it into the CK and resave in the new format or do I actually have to do something else?

I'm unsure meshes would need converting and I don't have a .bsa extraction tool.

IIRC, the only converting that's not necessary is scripts because they made no changes to Papyrus. There's a really good .bsa/.ba2 tool: Bethesda Archive Extractor (yeah, it's on the FO mod site) and a STEP project guide.

Hm.

Thanks! Might give it a go. Might not. Depending.

At least one comment said it worked out of the box by manually installing which means the meshes might *not* need converting.

I'm just not really comfortable with messing with it.

Well, I can understand that! However, the best thing to do is make a couple of redundant backups of the original mod, stick 'em away someplace safe, and then mess with it. That way if it fails, you still have a "clean" original....

I have it backed up along with my SLE Data folder anyways(I just threw everything onto my external before I moved) so I have it there, too.

The author updated one of his other outfits to go for SSE so maybe he'll do this one too. I prefer the assassin armor over the huntsman anyway, so if I have to do it, I might. It just goes so well on a khajiit.
