Busy day for Linaarie, too. Just hit level 11 while working on Windstad and she's off to Ft. Dawnguard next. Before heading to Morthal she cleared all the usual beginning places: Embershard, Bandit Camp near the Talos Shrine, Bleak Falls, White River Watch, Redoran's Retreat, Halted Stream Camp, Silent Moons Camp, and even Eldersblood Peak. I expected more of a hassle with Movarth, but Linaarie reanimated a thrall to keep him busy while she gouted him with flames. He was easier to kill than the swarm of vampire fledglings that OBIS added outside of the cave. |

When Polly Fonix came to her senses, she was lying in the snow near the ruin of Alftand. It was a bright, beautiful day, and almost all of her belongings were gone. A fine day for a walk. She has visited Winterhold, starting Azura's quest. From there she went to Windhelm, picked up a couple of quests there, and headed over to the Atronach Stone, which will be useful in the short term. So far, so good. :) |

I'm having a few minor issues with this round....got landed on Solstheim for a start...not ideal, but ok. Then found that something - no idea what, nothing is installed that should affect it - is causing my ore veins to be unlimited...or at least very high capacity (didn't sit there long enough to find out). Again, I could cope with that...but I got attacked by a Reaver Outlaw....vanilla encounter, he wanders around muttering about everyone dying and much treasure....so I lead him back to Raven Rock, only to have the Redoran Guards run away without helping and at level 2 with only a flames spell (against a dunmer) I stood not a snowball's chance in Red Mountain :/ Looks like i'm starting over again again...disabling ASIS and maintaining extra difficulty through Way of the Dovahkiin, greatly increased spawns and reinforcements for dungeon denizens, can't wait in unsafe places without being attacked, new creatures/targetted enemies, etc. New character will be: Poncho Lisandra Imperial Female Adept (not wanting to push my luck without much experience of SoT) Start: Attacked and left for Dead Intending Lisandra to be a Heavy Armoured Paladin type, will be chasing down anything that helps her kill undead, even if it's a daedric artifact...She'll also join the Dawnguard, not the vamps unless she finds herself tempted by eternal life and power... Initial skill focus: Heavy Armour, Block, One Handed, Restoration, Enchanting, maybe a little Destruction and smithing, depends how easily she can obtain the resources (she is no miner) |

Good luck, Lisandra! Seems like a few of us have had some bugs this round. Must not have the luck 'o the Irish on our side! |

Played for about three hours today and I didn't even make it from Windstad to Dayspring Canyon with Linaarie. Spent too much time picking ingredients and crawling through dungeons. Level 14 now with a nice blend of spells to choose from. I probably should have tried a vanilla mage, though. Ordinator seriously overhauls magic and I find myself unsure of what to perk sometimes. |

Hmmm my rule of thumb on perks is ; 1st perk in chosen craft. 2nd perk in chosen armor ( mage armor or physical) 3rd perk in secondary combat skill ..ie if character is 2h and archery.... archery gets a perk 1st. That way I've taken all the 1st perks in the characters skill...last to perk is their main combat skill....which has probably levelled the quickest. I took my 1st perk on a 2h character after they had reached 50 in skill....sometimes I never perk 2h.. just use the perks to help in slower to level skills |

I've got a nice blend, but nothing in enchant or alchemy yet. Wanted to get Magicka costs down first. Enchant I will probably try to bank perks for since they aren't really effective until you have high skill and Grand souls. |

Decided to withdraw. I'm just not having much fun with the competition, not sure why. Denutor was level 17, he was pretty well equipped. Got good spells and all, but I just wasn't having fun. I'll add him to the cemetery. |

Yeah, so was I. Unfortunately, I wasn't having fun. But I plan on doing a vigilant of stendarr play, with a story with him "defeating" (becoming the champion of) the daedra. |

That sounds interesting! Are you going to use Vigilant? I had that mod installed, but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe someday.... |

Dhark: Level 26 Been sorta busy, but then again hasn't accomplished much of anything Dawnguard related. Let's see BFB, Ustengrav, Bonestrewn Crest, Northwind Summit, Lost Valley Redoubt cleared. Supposed to go to a party, but he's just not into that at the moment. Completed the Book of Love early on and has a letter from the Jarl of Falkreath. Delivered a dagger for Alessandra and helped out Andurs. Helped Farengar, Adrianne and "Baby" Battleborn deal with Wraith (yes she is that mean). Looking to clear Hag's End next and Ironbind Barrow. Going to be opening up CoW to get quest locked words. and is none too happy about having to advance the Civil War to get another quest locked word he wants. Dhark believes he is no longer in a dream in the memory den, but instead it is becoming a NIGHTMARE. ;) |

Yeah, I get him. I really REALLY hate the way the devs insisted on micromanaging an open world game as to quests. Jerks. |

I played off and on all day as I made sure mum got breakfast, then cooked sausage in a pot, only later in the day to add 12 oz. mushroom slices with their canning juice (then reduced), later added 2 dozen meatballs I'd made and then added all the necessaries to make a cheesey (mozarella) sauce to have over veggies or noodles. In there some where I took mum out for her afternoon ride, had to go out and prop up a portion of a fence that the deer knocked over. Pounding a T-post in frozen ground is not my kind of fun, but I get 'er done! ;) Everytime I'd have a wait period I was wandering around Skyrim allegedly pin sticking and whackitty whackin' the bad guys. :chuka: |

Um. Bram, do you have anything approximating a blowtorch? Makes that sort of crap a LOT more bearable.... |

We do have a blow torch, but it wasn't necessary. Where I pounded the post in the old post of wood must've warmed in the sun and the ground wasn't as tough there. Took me all of about 5 strikes with the post pounder and it was in and another couple minutes to pull the fence up to the new post and wire it in place. We'll be replacing that entire side of the fence this summer. It's been there since 1935, so it's due. ;) The actual hard part was walking on the frozen foot of snow that liked to crunch and collapse under foot every so often and not fall on my arse! :teehee:
