On a different note, not sure what's changed, but the strange lag I was having typing posts seems to have vanished.

Oy. Yeah, snow underfoot is not a great thing at all. I have Columbia Bug-a-Barn boots for days like that. They're - absolutely SOLID in snow and ice.

Hmm. Did your browser update maybe?

No browser update. At least none that I authorized. Doesn't look like it gets auto updates, so /shrug.

And I must say with ELFX and CoT no. 3 Volskygge was a biatch! Lots of dark corners and draugr pretending to be asleep. :P But Dhark got the second word to Whirlwind sprint and Volsung's mask. :D

Dhark has just entered Deepwood Vale. A very quiet Aura Whisper revealed 14 Forsworn in the valley below. It is 2AM the Aurora in all it's green and purple glory is shimmering above. He'd really just like to stay at the valley entrance and admire the view, but time's a wasting and he wants the Word from the wall that resides in Hag's end, still yet to be traveled though after the vale.

Because it's so dark he's had some very exciting OH SHEEET moments when creepin' along and can suddenly pickpocket a forsworn he didn't know was leaning against a tree in the shadows. Had to quickly switch to melee weapon and get the ol' sneak attack x6 with his glass mace! Very satisfying when they go down and don't pull all the rest of the Forsworn down on top of him!

Argh! I just spent a good bit of time making a post here, and it's gone without ever seeing the light of day... Frustrating, to say the least.

Anyway, to reiterate...

Move over Poncho, I'm joining you in the graveyard. Or rather The Breton Elayne, is joining you...

She was taken out by a hidden Daedroth very near the Alchemist's Shack at level 17. I took her total score of 0, added 0, and then multiplied the total by 0, and so have determined that her net score is 0.

She is taking the "Death With Consequences" restart. No choice really, she only has 60 hours and 35 minutes remaining. Also because of that, there will be some changes.

The Breton Elayne will proceed using neither weapons (other than staves) nor armor. Also, she will use no potions other than cure disease (a necessity considering the nature of her main opponents).

She will be wearing clothing and/or jewelery, and may enchant it. I am operating under the assumption that these restrictions will force her to use her spells consistenly, and should result in a more powerful mage. I guess we shall see, eh? :)

That's odd Bram, I was also having lag a few days ago, but assumed it was down to potato pc and many tabs open in chrome....but it has also vanished after a few days.

Sorry to hear that Neil, good luck :)
Got 2 days off now...both of which are being used up. Have to go visit a friend and make sure she's alright...she had to go to hospital for a couple nights and when she got home she found her dog was nowhere to be seen. Family, neighbours and RSPCA all have no idea what's happened to her and the hospital were of no use...right now we're assuming the paramedics let her out by mistake and hoping someone brings her to the vet on Monday since she's chipped...

Tuesday has also already been given over to another friend....then back to work Wednesday *sigh*

I wonder if it's something on ZB's end - though if so, why wouldn't all of us experience it?

Sorry to hear the tales of woe from you two - hopefully the next ones will go better! Poncho - I REALLY hope your friend is okay, and that doggie shows up shortly.

Don't know Sere, but it didn't affect IE only Chrome for me. Maybe whatever they did/were doing affected specific browsers. :smash:

Well, neither IE nor Chrome gets space on my hdd.... Okay, yes. IE lives there - but I don't even have a shortcut for it. If I HAD to use it, I'd have to go find the .exe on my drive....

I hope things are better for your friend than they were for mine, Poncho. I drove 500 miles (round trip) to see him yesterday, and he didn't even know I was there.

So far so good! The Breton is well on the way to being a force to be reckoned with... She's advancing much faster without weapons and armor, though she has to be cautious and very picky about the fight or flight in a given situation. Usedagrass was seriously easy even on Master, and from there she got into house cleaning.

yeah, she mopped the floor with all the trolls in Labyrinthian... :)

So right now she's level 18 and going to go kill Salamander with Delphine. I had to think long and hard about that, but in the end I decided The Breton could really use the soul and the bones. She really needs to acquire some Grand Soul gems, eh? Anyway, she won't pursue the MQ beyond that point.

I decided to allow her to use bound weapons, but they are almost useless. The bow is useful at extreme distances in a stealth situation though. She still won't be perking archery or one-hand.

It's very hard to get mages to the point that they are really tough... but once they are there... tough, but still a bit squishy...

I find the squishy part exhilarating. Usually by this point with a warrior, I can just tank most things and easily fend off large groups. With a mage and OBIS, every patrol or camp is a nightmare.

I think, due to not crafting all the much ( sometimes just enough to get the armor I want, a few potions to drum up $$ and well enchant enough to Name stuff) even my tanks take a while to get really tough.

<sigh> when I get some time to play, hopefully this afternoon, I'll have to get Davin's Smithing up pretty good before he takes on to much.. as he got really lucky with some of the enchanted pieces he found, looted or was given.

Wellll.... So much for that. The Breton was killed yet again at level 19 by a flame warrior. I'm kinda noticing a trend here... She's was never seriously in danger, let alone killed, by anything that wasn't a Monster Mod creation.

Based on that, I'd have to say that Skyrim on Master, even with Skytest Harder Creatures, is not so hard to beat Did. I tend to think the Monster Mod is unbeatable on Master. Once those high range specialty monsters lock onto you, they are unstoppable and half again as fast as you are. You can't outfight them, and you can't outrun them.

So... now I'm considering what I'm going to do. Part of me wants to just continue on with her as is, but outside of the competition, and another part of me wants to do a complete redo on an easier difficulty. Not in the competition though... I think the competition has chewed on me quite enough for now... :)

I think I'll continue on as is for a bit though... I'd love to figure out how to beat those freakin' mutated monsters...

Anyway, once again, her score was 0, and with 0 added to that, and then divided by 0, the net score is... 0...
