- The priest of Arkay, in Whiterun, needs our help. - Said Altano. - It seems he's having some problems with vampires. Hurry up and follow me, the vampire isn't going to wait for us.

Drahcir and Jenassa nodded and grabbed their backpacks, weapons and put on their armor, following Altano to Whiterun. They went through a weird nordic ruin (Labyrinthian) where many frost trolls resided. They saw mudcrabs and sabrecats on their way to Whiterun, but none attacked.

(In-game note I had to make (one of the many good things about the journal mod): the path-finding is horrible. I spend about 10 minutes trying to nudge him out of the rocks or steps, or what ever got him stuck. And he goes like 20/30 meters off the road and comes back to it at random, what the fuck?)

Arriving at Whiterun, Drahcir saw the khajiit caravan at the entrance. He wanted to greet them, but he couldn't. They hurried to the Hall of the Dead, where Altano asked if anyone had fallen victim to the vampires. The priest said they had found the fifth victim and asked for help, to which Altano replied that, as Vigilants of Stendarr, it was their obligation to get rid of the vampire.

(In game note: It's hard to write down what they say, since I've never done it, and I don't remember what they said 5 seconds after they talked, so yeh.)

Altano shared with him that it was a newly turned vampire (because only they make new victims every day) and all victims were males. Drahcir suspected a female and went out searching for it. He interrogated every female and male he could find, and gathered no information. It wasn't until he pet a dog to release some frustration and talked to a Khajiit (that bought his way into town, according to him) that he got the information he was looking for. The attacks were happening around the temple of Kynareth. So, he waited until night time at the inn and went to the temple. He found... Nothing? He searched around there but found no one, until he heard a scream. He rushed to it and found a vampire feasting on a male redguard (Nazeem). He took out his silver axe and made a swing to her neck, cutting it off with surprising ease. Seeing as the body spontaneously burned to ash made him feel satisfied with himself. "Finally, some change", he thought.

He reported the death of the vampire to Altano, which thanked him and they went to The Bannered Mare, Drahcir played a tune for their rooms while both of them drank. Jenassa and Altano kept on drinking while Drahcir headed to bed. He really needed to sleep.

Well done! Yeah, Altano's crap as a follower.... or leader, whichever! As for keeping track of the conversations, when I really want to use the words from the game in a story, I go to UESP and put the name of the NPC in the search box. Eventually you'll get a page that shows all the full convos for that NPC, and all the possible branches.

Altano is from the VIGILANT mod, so he isn't there. (I looked.)

I dunno if he can be a follower, as I'm the one doing all the following now or I wouldn't have much trouble with him glitching out.

Oh, right. But you'd be able to get the dialogue of Anders the priest of Arkay, and that might help you fill in some of the rest. I played it a year or more back now, and don't remember much about it....

Altano woke Drahcir, saying that some people reported that a daedra destroyed a house outside of Whiterun. The daedra had supposedly been summoned by a women seen near the house. Drahcir got up and Altano left, letting him have some privacy. After a few moments, Drahcir went downstairs and ordered some breakfast, joining Altano and a very hungover Jenassa. Using one of his spells, he cured her of the hangover. Surprised, she asked how he did that, to which he responded that he learned it from a tome he bought some time ago. They ate while Altano filled them with information about their next mission. After they were done, they headed to the house.

Arriving near the destroyed house, it seemed that it had been blown up. As they approached, a small, bright gate appeared and blew them back. When they opened their eyes, a dremora stood there.

- I am Vernaccus, He-Who-Can-Not-Be-Touched! Cower before me, mortals! - It said.

Drahcir was so confused that he only managed to said "Wait, what?", which the dremora took as fear. "Man, I thought these dudes were supposed to be smarter", he whispered to himself, while it talked. Suddenly, it shot out an exploding fireball that managed to miss them. Drahcir took out his bow and drew a silver arrow, hitting the dremora in the head and sending him back to where he came from. "Glad I bought these.", he thought, while getting the mace the daedra dropped. But there was something... Wrong.

- I don't see the summoner. - He said, out loud.

- Damn it, she must've escaped when she summoned Vernaccus! - Altano replied, kicking the ashes. - If she could summon such a fiend, her conjuration skill must be greater than what I imagined. I'm gonna go to the inn and collect what I can about this women. Meet me there whenever you can.

And so, Drahcir and Jenassa went to Whiterun to do some shopping. They bought new armor and improved it, same for their weapons. They sold what they could and bought some potions. When they were finally done, it was almost night time, and they headed to the inn to talk to Altano.

- Seems like there was an incident involving daedra in an inn, in Windhelm. - Altano said. - It might be related to whatever happened here. We should check it out.

- If you want, go right ahead. - Replied Drahcir.- We'll meet you there. I'm too tired to travel, I need some sleep.

Altano nodded and they shook hands. Drahcir pulled out his lute and played a few songs and shared some stories with the locals, which earned him some money and a room to stay in, just like yesterday. He left Jenassa to her drinking but recommended her to go to bed, as he would not heal her hangover again. As soon as he collapsed on the bed, he fell asleep.

I'm liking the mod so far but god, you gotta walk from one end of skyrim to the other! I'm not using fast travel as I want to be able to write as much as I can about his travels but man, I'm starting to re-think it...

Drahcir found Jenassa eating her breakfast and ordered some bread and cheese and sat with her and talked about how they were and what might expect them on their way to Winterhold. They left Whiterun an hour later, with their armor and weapons polished and ready.

Nothing happened in the road to Windhelm, so they didn't have to get their weapons dirty. They headed inside the inn and Altano was questioning the innkeeper. Seemed like she got into a fight with a drunkard and said drunkard got torn to pieces by the daedra. And, once the daedra was summoned, the woman disappeared yet again. Drahcir let out a sigh as he followed Altato. They had to kill the daedra, so he prepared his silver arrows to shoot it. Which wasn't necessary at first. The daedra was just... on the ground, sleeping?

- Hey, get up! - Screamed Altano.

- Ugh... Just five more minutes, please. - The daedra replied.

Drahcir held a laugh and so did Jenassa. "Best daedra ever", he thought. Altano wasn't so amused, though. No, he seemed more confused by the minute. He left and said he would let Drahcir take care of this one, as he didn't seem dangerous at all, and that he'd continue to search for the women.

- Aaah, so nice... - The daedra purred, after rubbing himself against the strangely comfortable carpet.

- Get up, daedra! You're annoying the other patrons... - Drahcir said, hold his laughter.

- I know, I know... So what? - The daedra replied.

Drahcir let out a short laugh, rolled his eyes and pulled out his bow.

- So what? Say bye bye to the carpet. - He whispered, shooting the daedra in the head, with a silver arrow. After 2 seconds, the daedra exploded into dust, much like the previous one, leaving behind his heart and his daedric battle axe.

He told the innkeeper what happened and excused himself, going to the Hall of the dead to meet Altano. He had to ask around but he eventually found the place. He informed him that he had killed the daedra and Altano responded, saying that she might still be nearby, due to the traces her of magicka. Drahcir didn't really understand, but he nodded. Altano told him that he was free to do whatever for a bit, so he could buy potions or check the blacksmith for new weapons, but he had to go meet him at the inn in an hour. Drahcir nodded and went to talk to the blacksmith.

With his armor and weapons improved, Drahcir and Jenassa were happily talking to each other when they entered the inn and saw Altano, with a worried look on his face. Drahcir asked what was did he hear on his investigations.

- There seems to me a strange man in Kynesgrove. - Altano said. - Everyone that looks into his eyes goes into a frenzy and flees, or so the guards told me. Go there and check it out.

Drahcir nodded, not knowing what he was putting himself into.

I actually laughed when I saw the dremora just on the ground, I think he was drunk but I dunno, I'd like to think the carpet was just incredibly comfortable for him

I mean, he had a bed right there, but I guess the rug was extremely comfortable. Jenassa did take a good look at it, after the daedra was dead. Maybe thinking about sleeping on it, even though it was full of ash.

There won't be an update today. Just too tired to even try to play. I'll try to update the story tomorrow, but I doubt I can.
