I love Jace too
But....arn't we supposed to move her to the Character Stories threads except for the introductory page one?

And what about all these answere to it then?

I am so confused about whats supposed to be going where.....its why I haven't made a space for Adella yet.
No need to remove her thread, unless there's a change of plan it seems she belongs here in the DiD forum. Which makes good sense, since not all of her updates will necessarily be written as a story.

EDIT: The only way I could write above a quote in my reply was to quote and then edit my post, in case anyone's wondering how to do that. :D
 We need a Grits Tips thread on the How To navigate these forums. For a while I thought red topics were bad or locked then I realized it meant very active. Blue less so.

Yeah, that was a close call! :D

I just found my favorite button yet: clicking Active Topics at the bottom lists threads that have had a recent post. Woo! :bunny:

And that nicely solves my wish for a link to "latest posts"!

I feel like we're moving in to a new place, making it home and seeing how our stuff will all fit. The Active Topics button was a major find. I was also missing a "Latest Posts" button. Whew!

Jace: page 5

Rorikstead held an important clue for Jacelyn. She knows where to go next to find that Sam. But first a night out of the rain at the Frostfruit Inn.

Jace spent the afternoon casing the shops with Vorstag in tow. The general store had no pretty boots (stupid static displays), but the back shelves were loaded with expensive-looking potions. There’s no telling what’s inside the smithy since the blacksmith works and runs his shop outdoors. She can’t wait to find out.

Although the local tavern is full of better-looking mercenaries than hers, Jacelyn has no regrets about hiring Vorstag. Earlier in the day he stole a pouch of coins off a Dibella shrine without batting an eyelash, if he even has eyelashes. Under those brows it’s impossible to tell. Jace is not going to bring him ‘shopping’ with her until she finds him some quieter boots, but now she has no worries about handing him a pack full of stolen goods. Vorstag looks like he could carry a very heavy pack. This will widen her options tremendously.

Or their options, as Jace is beginning to think. Though she has a distaste for being told what to do, she is not really comfortable being in charge either. Even Vorstag’s softly spoken “Don’t get too far ahead” makes her bristle. But she likes the way their arrows look sticking out of dead wolves, side by side. And he’s not so hard to look at in the dark.

There is one thing that she is going to have to address sooner than later. She was told by a farmer that she smelled like fermented feed. Fermented feed. There was indeed a whiff of something wrong in the air even above the usual farm odors, but it certainly did not come from Jacelyn. Vorstag either ignored her pointed looks at the farmer’s remark or more likely just didn’t notice them.

Perhaps Vorstag’s old armor is to blame. The leather could be rotting. Jacelyn has offered him new gear, but he won’t take it. And all of this rain is not doing it any favors.

The after-hours shopping trip was a huge success. Jacelyn crept back to the Frostfruit Inn just before dawn loaded with goods including new boots and two new dresses that had been put away in cupboards. She and Vorstag spent some time sorting through it since even mighty Vorstag couldn’t carry it all. Jace made a cache of what they had to leave behind, cursing that Sam and her lost horse the whole time.

Vorstag seemed to like one of the spears. He still did not try on any of the new armor.

Was this in Rorikstead? Are you using a mod that adds shops to towns? Or have I just assumed all these years that all the houses were just homes. :book:

Sere, Jace does no Smithing, so she was at her wit’s end trying to get him to take off that scaled skirt!

Bram, the Rorikstead shops come from JK’s Skyrim. Jace has an absolute blast burgling them. She is not a big fan of stealing stuff from poor people, so she tends to leave farm houses alone.

The “better looking mercenaries” at the Frostfruit were Erik the Slayer (cutie), a mod guy named Mercenary (hot), and a wandering mod guy named Coda (hot) who happened to be there that day. Jace likes to look at all of the merchandise.

Eh, I play on console because I haven't been able to set aside the money for a PC. I hope to change that soon.

I'm saving slowly! Weddings are killing us right now, though. We've already attended two of them, the missus and I will be best man and matron of honor at my brothers wedding in two weeks, and we have two more to attend after that. :meh:

No worries, Kane! I love a chatty thread. :) And I’m planning for the PC that I’ll hopefully get this winter.

I just looked at my next Jace update, and it needs some work to get it out of player-voice and into story. Too tired tonight!
