Relationships are known (defined in the esm) and can be seen in the Construction Kit. Family tree. Some of the defined relationships are bogus, however. There are several anomalies in the Orc strongholds. |

Oh I like that Sere, Cracked Tusk Keep is a doozy for lower levels, but Siara and Andur took care of them quite handily! :D Ah Deni, and Anki...both with problems, but the helping each other is wonderful. That Deni, a smart one she is, already putting Anki on track! |

Siara Part Two; 6: “What do you mean, Deni? And - how know you this?” “See you. It’s long been told that some of the Companions are of the were blood. They may think none know it, but - well.... tales spread. Now, in Cyrodiil, there was the Fighters’ Guild - a place those who knew the warriors’ arts - or wanted to learn them - could gather. Skyrim has the Companions instead. “And I know this because my mother - my birth mother - was born in Skyrim, and knew much of its secrets. How she knew? That I don’t know - but she always, always had information that I thought none other knew. She didn’t value me.... but I value what I heard from her. And.... she led me to Siara, and to the family - and for that, I hope her stay in the hells is less than perhaps it should be.” Anki sent a look at the girl - one of surprise. This girl.... was no child. This girl... was in many ways, older than Ankeddi would probably ever be. She wasn’t sure that was precisely a good thing.... but at least it meant Anki herself didn’t have to go out into Skyrim to try to winkle out this sort of abstruse information. “So then. I must go to Whiterun. Where is that?” “Look you.” Deni picked up a twig and quickly sketched a map. “We are here - this is Falkreath Hold, and this is the city.... if you want to call it that. Though the new - eh.... old? - Jarl has ideas about that. Now, from what maps I saw of ma’s, Whiterun is northeast of here, along the river that runs beside the road mostly. They say that Whiterun’s the “breadbasket” of Skyrim. Lots of farms, big trading center, market - some of anything anyone wants. “In the city, there’s a place ma called “the mead hall”. And in the hall, that’s where you find the Companions. I don’t know how you get to be one of them.... ma didn’t seem to care, so she didn’t know. Probably, fighting. That’s Nords for you.” “Eh. You’re a Nord.” “Aye. But I’m not going to fight that way - I’m a mage.” ***** We did the trip to the Ridge in the dark after getting the shards. I didn’t want to stay around that keep, and neither did Andur. We rode slowly - the horses couldn’t see well until the moons rose, and tonight Masser was only half-full, and Secunda less than that. But still, it was better to be amove than trying to rest in a place full of the dead.... by our hands. Just before daylight, we were at the gates. The guard sent up a shout - I looked at Andur, and he shrugged - and the place boiled like an ant nest poked with a stick. Anki and Selalla grabbed Andur, and Deni fair knocked me down. She was sobbing and wailing.... “Here now, Denira. What is this?” “I’ve missed you so much. And now I’ve got this woman-thing going on, and it’s a misery! And I’m afraid that Andur won’t want me since you’ll have his children and I’m not....” I couldn’t understand the rest - but that was more than enough. Andur slanted me a glance, I shook my head, and headed off out of the little light there was with my daughter. “Now then. Deep breaths. You’re close to hysterical, and that just won’t do. Deni.... you are my daughter - by both our willings and actions. Andur knew that when he asked me to mate him. Children I have of his will be your siblings. You’ll be eldest. That’s an end of that, please. “But - womaning? You’re surely too young yet for that....” “Well.... in some families, yes. But - ma - she told me.... she was even younger than me, and she didn’t know how to handle it and the lord of some place or other took her - and I came along.” Ah.... I sighed internally. Poor girl. NOTHING had been easy for her, and - not for her birth-mother either. Again I regretted having to kill the woman.... “Deni.... Early just means that you haven’t the balance to deal with it. And that means that the rest of us women will have to help you more than if you were a couple years older. “I love you. And Andur loves you. We will get through this.” And then she went off on a tangent (yes, I remembered that sort of thing myself, though I’d been older....) “I’m helping Anki get cured of the wolf-sickness. So we’ll be needing to go to Whiterun soon.” What??!! Edited by Serethil, Sep 14 2016, 08:21 PM.

Surprise!! what a home coming! Love it!... Our group therapy lead ( for adopted children... I was a volunteer) always told the children that they were wanted even more than "birth" children, as their "parent's" had to find them...had to go looking for them...in some cases had to go through Hades to adopt them. |

Still going strong...good! Yes...its is from them! I understand. I Have the similar thing going on, except I often have to insist on us taking my chosen direction....and sometimes I Still lose. She is a powerful manipulator and argues me into defeat! That's the penalty of growth....but I enjoy the fight and I think, so does she :) |

Ghastley.....yeah..thanks for the Battle-born tree...odd that with Idolaf....I never liked him...I bet hes adopted....not Nord at all! Sere....intruiging is it not....where the characters originate. Secret and distinct facets of you I suspect, 'power' each personality, but they are fleshed out with their own particular embellishments which grow as they go. Well...possibly! |

One's imagination is a never-ending wonder.... Thanks guys! [Short - interlude sort of thing tonight....] Siara Part Two; 7: Well, that was a facer. Ankeddi and my daughter heading for Whiterun.... Deni mentioned just before sleep that night that the Companions were said to know how to find a cure. I’d explained to Andur earlier in the day; shrugging, he said finally “Well, Anki has the tools to keep them both safe. So I suppose we shouldn’t worry?” Eh. I worried anyway. They were to leave the next day. Selalla patted my shoulder, presumably trying to make me feel better - though I was pretty sure she wasn’t any happier than I was. Still - if I couldn’t trust Andur’s sister, who could I trust? Well - myself. And Andur. But we had other things to deal with. The last of the Razor shards - and getting close to Dagon.... with the hope of figuring out some way to - what? I didn’t know.... I wanted to just snuff out his life - but that was unlikely; he’s a daedric prince after all. And in truth, that wouldn’t fix what was wrong in Hammerfell.... Sleep in safety was wonderful. But I forced myself awake and up early - because I wanted to give Deni something before they were away. So I ate, and went looking for her. She found me. “We’re ready. Um. What would you want me to call you? I mean - you know....” I grinned. “You may call me whatever seems right to you. I’ve not been a mother before - so really, it’s on you to pick. I’m fine with Siara. I’m not fine with ‘hey you’! So - your choice, sweet." “Well.... I’d like to call you mama. If that’s okay.” I felt tears well in my eyes. “That’s - good.” I swallowed hard. “Please, Deni. Be careful, both of you. Now, to help with that....” I handed her twins of my katanas - but the smaller more dagger-like counterparts.. Her mouth fell open. “But....” “Nah then. These I had made some while back. I’m aware you’re a mage - not my sort of fighter - thus they're more like daggers. It never hurts to have backup. And when you learn a bit more, you can probably set some spells to these blades, for when your own magicka is low.” She flew into my arms, and we cried together. And then Andur and I watched Anki and Deni ride out the gate. He folded me into his arms, and I sobbed a while. Then Selalla motioned us to nooning. Gathering for a meal was always something that we as a race used as a mitigation of sadness, and so it proved this day. And later, instead of sleeping alone and cold, I slept curled against my husband, my body feeling the warm glow of satiety. Edited by Serethil, Sep 15 2016, 09:57 PM.

Siara Part Two; 8: I was beginning to wonder why I was in tears all the time. And my body felt.... heavy. And tired. All the time. “Selalla, I’m - do you think....” She gave me her earth-mother smile, and said “When did your blood last flow?” “Uh. Before our wedding....” “Well then. What do YOU think?” So. I took Andur off to a nice glade with a small mere, and we undressed each other at leisure, and took full joy in each other. And then.... “Andur. You will be a father in a few more months.” He stared at me, his mouth open in complete shock. “Wait. You - I - Deni?” “No. Deni is already your daughter - because you wed me, and I’m her mother. This child will be YOUR child. Of my birthing.” His eyes filled and overflowed. He folded me into his arms, and we held each other - naked as the day we were born. And then we started over again.... I still felt heavy and tired, and emotional. But we were happy. Of course, we still had to go after the other part of the dagger. Now there was an issue though. Andur wanted to wrap me in tundra cotton. “Husband.... I’m moons from birthing this baby! We have time to go after Drascua and the Razor stone.” “It’s too dangerous. Anything could happen. There’s no time limit, so we will wait....” But even he stopped then - because how would we do this with a new baby? Would we wait until the child was grown? “See you. NOW is the time to do this. Otherwise.... it’s not ever going to happen.” “How many moons?” “Six or seven more.” We rode out the next morning. ***** Anki and Deni stabled the mare at Whiterun. The stableman looked her over, looked them over, and said, “Ye must be related to that Siara, ain’t? Least th’ horse be similar. She let me put her stud to mares, n’ I’m real pleased with the get. They be strong, but more graceful, an’ I hope that be continuin’ as they grow.” Anki smiled. “Aye. Siara is my sister in law, and this one’s mother by adoption. Come Deni. We need to get settled in the inn.” They nodded at the stable master, and went up into the city. Anki was flummoxed. Now THIS was a city! So beautiful - even more so than Bruma, and warmer though farther north; she wondered how that worked. Deni just watched everything and everyone. Deni stopped by the guard inside the big gate. “Sir, where be an inn?” He smiled behind his helm. “Straight up this street little miss - through the market past the well.” She curtsied prettily. “Thank you!” And they passed on into the city proper, eventually finding the well, and then the inn. Anki paid for a room for two days - if they couldn’t find what they needed by then, it likely couldn’t be found at all. They ate well - and put up with the bard’s caterwauling. They were ready for bed not long after full dark - it was a fair ride after all from the Ridge. There was the one bed, no door, and just a jug of cold water to wash with. Anki sighed. Deni giggled. “Eh, we’re spoiled, we are. This is more like how things were before I got to be an Alf’agar, after all!” “I know.... but - yes. I’m spoiled. And having no doors....” But they were tired enough that neither noticed anything amiss without the door.... Morning was as gorgeous as the evening before. Deni made friends with a girl who seemed to have no family at all, and Anki left them playing tag and running through the streets. By judicious questioning, she determined that the odd, almost “upside down ship” shaped building across from the Temple of Kynareth was “the mead hall” Deni had mentioned. The folk of the city called it Jorrvaskr. She finally quit stalling, polishing off one of the most delicious apples she’d ever eaten, bought from a food stall in the market. She marched up to the mead hall door and entered. Edited by Serethil, Sep 17 2016, 09:51 AM.

Eh, it's just an RP thing - because they have it so good at home. Truthfully - I've never had a toon stay at any of the inns. I always have house mods as soon as a new girl gets started. |

That was awesome Sere!! Andur was typically the father to be, and made me laugh! Oh he's going to try Siara's patience.... Loved the reactions from Anki and Deni, best that Siara doesn't yet know about deni's homeless friend! :D |

Another good read, with an interesting development! It's funny, in fantasy I rarely think of pregnancy (wanted or otherwise) yet in RL nobody knows better than me how such an event can change plans and lives... |
