Be aware there's minor clipping on the front "scarf" into the left leg; and the back scarf is rigged to the back of the right leg. The only time I have an issue with that (which is the same on the main version) is in sneak - but then, these girls use sneak a LOT. |

Siara 13: The guards just stared past me. I might as well not have pushed Bat to do that…. Grumbling, I trotted him back to the stables. And that was when I realized there was a major difference between my horse, and the Skyrim version… Bat was…. slim. Fine. Compared to the local horses at the stables, he was a much better version somehow. And in fact the stable owner, one Skulvar Sable-Hilt, was drooling over Bat the minute he saw him. “Where came you by such an animal, lass?” “The caravan master gave him to me because there were problems with the passage from Taneth in Hammerfell to Skyrim.” Well, that was seriously abbreviated, but not untrue after all. “Are all the horses in that country like this one?” “Well, no. Many are – hmmm… I’d call them working horses. They pull wagons, plow fields. This horse was the mount of a caravan guard. It’s a different breeding, see you.” “Ah. Well. He’s a stallion, entire?” Um. What? “Yes – he’s not gelded. I promise, he’s not going to cause problems….” “Nah nah, lass! I’d like to put him to a mare or two, see what the get are like. I’d pay you a stud fee…” I probably looked like a polled ox. Stunned. “Well…. I don’t know his breeding, as he was a gift. But if your mares like the look of him, and he of them, I’m sure we can come to an agreement.” He stuck out a hand, and I did also – instead of the more common (to me at least) palm slap, he shook my hand. I guess that denoted a contract. “Now, I’d like to pay for stabling for perhaps a week, while I get my bearings here in Skyrim. I can pay in full….” “Oh, no lass! You’ll stable yon great beast here gratis – and I’ll be bringing the mares to him one at a time, as they come in season. He’ll have the best stabling I have, and a fine mash on top of the best hay.” We shook hands on it. My, things were certainly different here! But that was all to the good – the more different the better, so I didn’t dwell on what was past. Musing on the ways of Fate (the which I had previously not even considered) I walked up into the city, looking for an inn. Edited by Serethil, Jul 5 2016, 08:15 PM.

Like them both, the Carnelian red makes for some serious succubus vibe going on and the other is just downrightsultry! :rose: Edited by Brambleberry, Jul 5 2016, 08:44 PM.

Thanks guys! I've always been able to see things fresh, even in a game where I've played several hundred characters over time. This is because each girl is a different person, in herself. So her reactions will be different from the last girl, or the next one.... Of course, each one is also me - and that's sometimes an issue (because I have to force all those other "mes" out of my imagination when I'm writing about a new girl) but generally, I have more than enough stories to go around.... and more than enough imagination to make each one different. Heh. I started a new girl yesterday - Harskari Mennada: father was Redguard, mother was high elf (a victim of rape) and that's about as far as I've got. I'm working out where her story's going as I play her the first 10 or so levels.... Edited by Serethil, Jul 6 2016, 09:25 PM.

Siara's Song 14: The city was interesting. There was an area of shops and a market, with the inn at the back. I went there first, and paid for a night - I might stay longer, but I wanted to see what the first night offered.... Then I wandered through the town. Up a set of stone stairs was a circle of paving around a very dead old tree. Beyond it was a temple - of Kynereth. So the tree, dead as it was, must be the visible component for that goddess. But.... that was certainly not a recommendation.... a dead tree, of the goddess.... I shivered. Not a good thing. There were larger houses on this level. And a House of the Dead, Arkay's province. Of course, the gods had different names at home.... but I was educated reasonably well, so I knew them for who they were here. Also there was a strange building - like an upside-down ship. I asked one of the guards about it. "Ah, that be Jorrvaskr - the Companions' hall." "Companions?" I got a dissertation on Ysgramor, his five hundred companions from elsewhere, and the Skyforge. Now, I didn't actually understand a tenth of it - but it interested me in some way I couldn't fathom. "See you - the Companions take people to them for training and the like. You might talk to the Harbinger." "The Harbinger?" "Well, he don't run the place, but he's very respected here and everywhere. He decides if he thinks you would be a decent fit for 'em." "Well, thank you for the information, good sir." "You be a long way from home, ain't?" "Yes. A very long way. And - home is drowned deep beneath a flood...." "A flood in Hammerfell? That's your home, yes?" "Aye. A flood in Hammerfell. There's a daedric prince in it...." The guard sent me a wall-eyed look. "Well.... ask your gods for safety, and hope they give it you." I saluted him. Nice man. I turned away to mount the step to the palace of the Jarl. Edited by Serethil, Jul 6 2016, 08:54 PM.

Agree completely with Andra. A simple scene but FULL of life and interation. I like how the guard had "heard" of what happened to Hammerfell and how he went all "wall-eyed" at the mention of a daedric prince! |

I think no one gives the simple people enough credit. The game has all these guards in every city and town and hold. Now, in the game, yes, they're fairly wooden.... But in life - these are people who would talk to everyone about everything - because keeping their bailiwick safe is the job. How would they not hear things from elsewhere? They would of course. And that's how I treat them - as the ears of any given area. Gossip? Sure, some.... but more of an intelligence service. Edited by Serethil, Jul 6 2016, 09:33 PM.

Siara 15: The place was immense. It was wooden from its roof to its floors. The vast windows above lit the hall with brightness, and motes floated in the sunbeams. There were wide steps up to an area with a huge firepit, filled with logs and flames. On each side was a long table, laden with food and drink. I told my stomach to shut up. At the head of the tables, up a couple more steps, was a throne-like chair. A man reclined at his ease - the Jarl I was sure. There were carpets on the floors, and banners hanging. A number of people sat at the tables, or moved around near the Jarl - one seemed to be the court mage, another perhaps a guard captain - a Dunmer, rather an oddity in this place, I thought. And there was by his armor, an Imperial of some rank. The Dunmer stopped me at the firepit. "Do you have business with Jarl Balgruuf?" "I felt I should make myself known to the ruler of this city; I may not be here long, but it seemed I should introduce myself and assure the Jarl and his folk that I will cause no trouble while I am here." She nodded shortly, and stepped back, allowing me to mount the steps to the dais. I bowed to the Jarl, fist to heart. "I am come lately from Hammerfell, my Jarl. There was, you see, a flood...." His eyebrows rose. "A flood in Hammerfell? That would seem - odd. Your name?" "I am Siara N'Gola, formerly of Fenbaggan, a small town in one of the few areas of swamp in Hammerfell. The flood - washed away the town, and everyone but me. It may have been caused by deep magics - it came from nowhere, and after three days had not receded, though the sea was close enough the waters should have found their way through the delta. The princess of Taneth caring nothing for the problem upon my report, I determined to come to Skyrim." He nodded, looking me in the eyes. "Many Redguards make Skyrim home. Most do not come out of a disaster like that one though." He gazed at me thoughtfully, then motioned for me to continue. "I passed a burned out town before I came to Riverwood. No one was alive, and all the wooden houses and buildings were embers. Only a stone tower and one stone building still stand. And a woman of Riverwood was saying she had seen a dragon in the air. I thought dragons were myth...." He sat up straight. "Did you see this dragon?" "No, my Jarl. Just heard the woman talking about it." "The town was Helgen. It was a part of the next hold over, Falkreath. We had heard it was burned, and tales of a dragon doing the burning - but like you, we thought dragons were tales out of the past. Do you know the woman's name?" "She was addressed as 'Hilde' by the blacksmith. Her son is the inn's bard." "So then. Would she come here to tell me herself of the dragon?" "That I could not say - I do not know the folk of the town, I stayed there only the one night." I looked up at him. "I could go ask if she would come to speak with you. She might be less likely to be upset than if you sent a guard." "Hmm. Perhaps. Irileth " - the Dunmer stepped forward - "best send a small detachment to Riverwood. They're not well-armed there, other than Alvor." A well-dressed Imperial burst out "But my Jarl! Siddgeir will think we mean to invade Falkreath!" "I will not leave a town in my Hold unprotected, Siddgeir or not, Proventus!" The man bowed his head unhappily but remained quiet. Irileth smiled a small private smile. My there were undercurrents here.... Jarl Balgruuf turned back to me. "Yes. If you will do this for us, it will be good. Return to Riverwood, see if the woman Hilde will come to give me the details. Thank you for the offer, and be welcome to Whiterun Hold." I bowed again, backed down the steps, and then turned to leave. An interesting set of events.... I hoped Hilde wouldn't cause trouble about returning to Whiterun with me. Edited by Serethil, Jul 9 2016, 07:29 PM.

Ooooo I like where this is going. I look forward to see how Siara deals with that crabby Hilde. She's always exceedingly rude to my characters (and to a character they're very respectful of the elderly, otherwise...) |
