Sanguine is my favorite Daedric Prince. Even Sheogroath doesn't make a very good drinking buddy... Besides, in order to understand debauchery, one must first understand human desires and needs, eh? |

I think so, neil.... I do! I've always liked Sam, though I've never done the quest much. |

Sanguine is definitely prefered by Adella for clearly obvious reasons. Not to mention she likes his staff :$ Of course she appreciates certain aspects of Molag Bal also...as Marc learned eh! Adella's Deity round up... Talos....strength and courage in battle Dibella......irresistible sexy lady Sanguine...get pissed and suck everything Molag Bal...this might hurt....lots...giggle That about covers it! ;) |

Regarding the Daedric Princes and their immortality, both Battlespire and ESO proved that while you can't kill a Daedric Prince, you can give them one hell of a black eye--and live!--even in their own realms if you have the means. The means either being their "true" name (which changes once used) or an Aedra like Akatosh (and maybe another Daedric Prince?) on your side. The end result is basically the same thing that happens to a Lesser Daedra you "kill." Poor Dagon has been on the receiving end on so much abuse. Sometimes it really does feel like he's the butt of even the other Princes' jokes. Basically Siara continued the tradition of kicking him between the legs solely by existing. Good jorb! (I mean I guess Sanguine being the "support Daedra" this time helped too but still.) |

Thanks, monkey! Yeah, I actually got a real laugh out of what Sanguine said. (Um.... you do understand that I don't make this stuff up WAY ahead, right? I mean.... it just happens as I'm writing - so.... I didn't know he was going to show up. And I didn't know what he was going to do or say after he DID show up....) I really think that the reason Dagon goes in for excess is because he has so little "real" success. |

Siara Part Two; 23: We went home after helping Anki with the hagravens, checking briefly with the miners before hurrying through the Falkreath portal. I really didn’t want to spend much time around Skyrim for a while - daedric princes no doubt had long and vicious memories. I wondered if the two of them would ever forget us. If they didn’t.... well.... I wondered what we could do in Hammerfell. Surely there would be some way to “fix” things? But of course, I couldn’t think about that while I was pregnant. So I settled to the life of the Castle, listening to each of our folk as they talked about the strangeness of living like this. We had none of us been of the wealthy classes, so all of us felt a bit uncomfortable with the luxury. And I worried that we’d get so used to it that we’d not be able to give it up - especially with rearing children here. They would soon forget what real life in Hammerfell or Cyrodiil or Skyrim was like.... Well, there wasn’t much to be done for a while - we’d have to see how things went. Selalla took over the cooking from Lahar, and detailed the women to help on a schedule. Me she wanted to pamper as my body went from that of a slim fighter to a woman huge of pregnant belly - but I wouldn’t allow it. I was over the tiredness, though I now had to deal with clothing that didn’t fit and as time went on, not being able to see my feet! Parana - now there was a thing! She was pregnant as well, and poor Lucia had to be assured over and over and over that of course they still wanted her, loved her - and that the new babe would love his or her older sister. It was all I could do to keep from crying - there were so many children, unloved and unwanted, in Skyrim. I didn’t know if it was to do with the war, or if it was something of Nord culture that we simply didn’t understand. Andur and Arnem and Lahar constructed a nice stable in an unused corner of the Castle’s yard, and set about breeding the foals they’d need for the stables in Falkreath. Deni was the one who went fairly often to the city, to talk to Dengeir about it. It made me nervous - Dagon would surely remember her - but she insisted she could handle things well enough. Elgial and the older mage women agreed. So there it was. She was growing up, though I doubted she’d ever been a child, not really. And so matters stood. Then a day came when I knew that my time was near. I was.... both excited and frightened. Andur went pale and near fainted; Selalla told him off to have Parana boil water, and gave Arnem a list to give to Nokkara. Some hours later, the pain was done, and our son was lying on my breast, having nursed briefly then fallen asleep. Deni came in quietly, and grinned down at her brother. She whispered, “Papa says you’ve not named him yet?” “No. I wanted to talk to you about it.” She cocked her head toward me. “Why then?” I smiled. “I want to use part of your name, and part of Andur’s. So he carries some part of both people I love. Usually, in my clan, we’d ask permission of those who would give part of a name - so while I know Andur will be happy, I need your consent.” Her eyes darkened, and then overflowed. She was still having emotional issues with her body’s changes.... “I.... am so happy! I don’t mean to cry.... so what then will you name him?” “He will be Dendurga. And if you could find Selalla and Andur, we will get this naming done today.” She ran off to find them, and I cuddled my son close. And then, I fell asleep. Edited by Serethil, Oct 23 2016, 08:21 PM.

Baby! That's a sweet tradition, taking the parts of names of loved ones for your child. I think it kind of speaks of the kind of people they are that they worry they'd get too used to a life of luxury. It was a nice touch. |
