Thank you monkey. Sometimes - stuff just gets written. This did. I don't - honestly - know.... where some of this comes from. The Yokuda - the Redguards - there's not really much about their lives as families. So.... well.... this is what I came up with. I'm QUITE sure it's not "lore". But, it makes a kind of "internal" sense to me. I'm drawing on some memories of nomadic cultures....

Congrats to the parents and big sis! What a lovely idea to honor Andur and Deni with Dendurga's name.

Siara Part Three; 1 - Interlude:

Time passed quickly. I didn’t realize.... until the first of the foals were set on their paths as the Falkreath Stables was opened. I was shocked to realize Dendi was almost two.... Foolish woman. What was I about then?

Well. I wasn’t about what needed doing, then, was I? Dendi was not just walking, he was running. And Arnem had already taught him the basics of caring for a horse, as well as riding one - obviously my little man was too small yet to tack his own horse, but he knew what every piece of tack was named, and what it was for. I laughed as he sat on Bonto, his fat little legs sticking straight out to each side of the saddle, but I also grieved a bit - because he was growing up so fast.

I had - chosen - with Andur’s agreement - to put off any more children until we were better settled. This place, the Castle - well, we really couldn’t live here forever. It was not - what we were used to. And most of us didn’t wish to become used to it.

So, was it time to return to Skyrim? Or even Hammerfell? Perhaps. But we would have a meeting, all of us - before any decision was made. I was glad that Deni and Anki were back with us - because they would need to explain some things to all. And I was sorry that Bettala had gone to her long home. She had been a treasure - and had forced me to realize that mages were just like all the rest of us: people. Some good, some bad, some in-between.... but - just people with a different set of skills....

Time's flying by for them, but does it fly by the same as in Skyrim? I love that their smart little man is learning so much....

OOo very nice!! I see a smiling little boy sitting in a saddle. Everything is changing for them as the time goes by... hopefully they can get back to "the real world".

What of Lahar?
They feel the wanderlust and need for home,
But will they offer that to the cyborg
Or is he bound to Clockwork Castle?
Is he still caring for derranged Lamashtu?
I guessing the they will be thinking, Hammerfell since they are creatures of the desert at heart.
But...not all the family are Redguard...for a Nord the desert must be hell.

Well...no use guessing....I will have to wait and see.....

Siara Part Three; 1 - Interlude 2:

As I was sitting in the sun, talking desultorily to Lamashtu, I mentioned the children left to beg in Skyrim. She turned toward me.

“These children. You mean they have no families?”

“Yes. They are orphans - of the hard life, of the civil war, of disease, hardship, hunger. There are so many of them....”

“Bring them here. We will care for them, teach them, learn from them. I know you must leave, go home. We will miss you.

“But bring us these unwanted waifs. We - will want them. We - will love them. We will teach them skills to make a life with. If you can imagine a metal monster with a heart and love to give.”

I threw myself at her, laughing and crying. “We will. We WILL!”

You need to play the mod. Though I don't think it's going to make it to xbone.... I quite like these Gilded (not dwemer exactly).

Yeah, hon - I'm sad for you. Because of all the mods I've used and played since release - Clockwork.... is SUPERLATIVE. Beth should hire antistar. He's.... a level above and beyond....

And yes - the music altogether is evocative. But - Amalgam's Theme.... is a whole other order of magnitude. I think I've never had a piece of music so strike my heart....

[Oh, and antistar put Amalgam's Theme into music boxes around the Castle!]

Siara Part Three; 1 - Interlude 3:

So we spent some time “gathering” - finding and talking to those poor children left alone, abandoned, needy. We explained in full: we would give them a home, and their care would be done by “metal monsters”. You cannot after all lie to children....

We had nary a one say no. That - caused my heart to cringe.... that life was so hard for these children that “metal monsters” sounded good! Of course, I knew that Lahar and Lamashtu would be kind and loving - because I understood how my metal monsters came to know love. They had once been living breathing people - of a race now long gone, long disintegrated into the horrible Falmer perhaps.

But Lahar and Lamashtu still kept much of their “humanity”. And I trusted them to do the best for these children, no matter what that “best” might consist of.

As we “collected” the children, we took them to the Castle - sometimes it was one or two, sometimes half a dozen. One and all, they immediately began to play on the grounds, eat heartily of the good food, read the books, study and learn. Only one of them chose to leave....

Finally, we had I thought found every child left alone in the entirety of Skyrim. There were - a lot of them.... But they all wore good clothing, not rags; they all ate heartily and put on weight; and they all - but the one - learned, absorbed knowledge as if they were sponges, and knowledge was water.

Lamashtu bent her head when I said, “We must return to Hammerfell - while we did deal with the daedra, we don’t know how things are back home. And there may be much to do.”

“I know it, Siara N’Gola. And could I go home again.... I would, instantly. I - hope that you will not forget us....”

I threw my arms around her. “No. I will never forget you and Lahar. You - are - part of our family too. This blessed place - and your care for us and these children - we love you and we will NEVER forget you.”

“I.... thank you. The children will fill our lives with their energies....”

Tears slid down my cheeks. I didn’t know what might await in Hammerfell, but I gave her what I could of comfort: “If life is insupportable at home, we will of course return. I will try to send a courier at short intervals to let you know what happens.” It was really all I could do.

She nodded. “That is good. Thank you. When will you all leave?”

“Those of us who are returning to Hammerfell will leave early, three days from now. There are some who do not wish to go back. So you will have help....”

Her face could offer no expression, but I understood that having a few adults still here would help in some way. My heart hurt for my metal monsters....
