@Bram.....your difficulty multiplier is wrong.

@All......Well Adella is stuffed. Not dead of course, but trapped forever!

We were in Forsaken cave. Curalmil was soaked in MfD but had chased us back down the passage. Lydia during this was waiting near the entrance.

There is a high level walk way. Curalmil pushed her off. The drop is not fatal. But she fell where the level designer didn't think you'd get to....in the traiangular space between the sides of two cabinets which are at angles to each other. She has standing room, but the gap is too narrow to escape through....even naked. Running, sneaking, sprinting, WWS, I tried it all. Plus you can not fast travel from interior locations.

No the toe curler was Curalmil found her, but by then MfD had ruined him, so each time he came to bury his ebony battle axe into her...she struck back taking a good 20% off him....Adella prevailed, but remains stuck behind the furniture :(

Is this a valid reload scenario?

I would think so Rick, if you can't get out, but are still alive. That's my opinion anyway.

Richard is host....he should rule on it.

This is one of those odd occurances. We know there are place in game which are inescapable, and although the designers don't do it on purpose, they can't close off every possible trap because it takes hours of exploring just to find each one.

Its not a glitch...its not a bug...and its not my doing...Curalmil knocked her off the walkway. Just bad luck and a developer oversight to leave a spatial trap right below the edge of a potential drop.

If she was outside, I could have fast travelled to the same location and she'd be out! If this was RP......I normally rule dead.....only because in real life if you get hopelessly trapped you will die in a few days. Ultimate harsh realism...
having said that, IRL Adella can be seen to be able to bodily fit through that gap, but the collision physics won't allow it! Plus of course this ain't RP its competition, and most of the game play is not congruent with real life (like building lakeview in an afternoon).

Anyhow....no use giving it ifs and buts.....its down to Richard now.....

Rick, not sure what shouts you have and you may have already tried it, but a Whirlwind shout might get you out with the object trick. That is hold the object up against the gap in the book cases and then shout whirlwind. Worth a try while you're waiting for a ruling.

P.S. You may have to have the object touching one of the bookcases to have it work. I've never actually done it myself, but read about how people used it to get past the Embassy gates a second time to kill Elenwen.

Yeah....I've played with the plate trick to get through locked doors ( you can get outside the Bromjunnar Sanctuary in its time phased mode and see the cybervoid beyond...ooooh).....

unfortunately you need a plate..or bowl or bucket and we are fresh out of carry junk! :(

I’m sure Richard will be along shortly to give the thumbs up. This sort of situation has been known since day one and happens in other games as well, there’s no mystery.

Jonna went through Forelhost at level 45 this afternoon, oh my goodness deathlords everywhere. That is one of the game’s best locations in my opinion.

She got outside and fought her first Ancient dragon, woo! What a battle! An Allicted refugee happened by and while Jonna could hear him taunting the dragon, the sun was setting (very fast, I’m not used to the vanilla timescale) and she couldn’t see him. Thought he was a hunter until she caught up later to thank him.

Trotted up the mountain expecting to find an empty dragon lair and hopefully a bedroll, but oops there’s another dragon! Blood dragon this time. I hope this means her random spawns are fixed. She is in dire need of dragon kills.

Now she has the extra perks to go for Dragonbone Smithing for the arrows, but she doesn’t have much room in her inventory to carry the bones. This after leaving a small fortune in ebony weapons scattered through Forelhost. Funny how that goes.

Rick I'm looking at the pics and saying, "Adella just lean over and grab one of those books! Come on, you can do it (even though I know she can't). Very frustrating that you can't loot something from behind the bookcases. Hang in there, like Grits said, Richard'll be along shortly! :D

Well now, someone Knighted me when I wasn't lookin' :bunny: :bunny: :bunny:

We are OUT phew
Bram said about using a book to do the WWS trick....I normally use a bowl or plate (and not in either my RP or competition to gain any advantage) never tried a book!
I remembered picking up "The Mirror" earlier in the tomb.
Tbh I doubted it would get through a whole bookcase....but it did!
And chucked Adella out of the trap.....the book is AWOL(sorry Capt Aldis) ...but like I care!

The reason Curalmil is now dead in front of the opening is we had to re-kill him. I had saved Adella before killing him.....then killed him then exited...stupid huh. So upon thinking about the book....I started it all up again....and of course Curalmil was then still alive....gaaaa! This time it cost Adella a big bunch of health potions because he would not get within mace range often enough....but she was within his longer reach ebony battleaxe.

BTW....the phone cam is excellent.....the poor pic quality you see IS what I get on my TV....because its huge. Skyrim on xbox outputs in a poor quality 720P. On a small TV you can't tell, but stretching those pixel across my 65 inch monster screen makes for pretty poor viewing!
I can't wait for SSE's native 1080p :)

This is looking at it from the walkway.....the trap is directly under the torches...notice its relationship to the edge of the walkway!

This is the room where the trap is located

I did the "drop all my burning torches" trick to let you see it easy.
So....be aware of this one if you're on console...(PC players can presumably do the Toggle move player thing.) Glad to be released :)

Thanks Areial hon :hugs:
I'm sure Richard would have approved a reload under the circumstances, but I feel better knowing it wasn't necessary.
Now.....to get word three of our fav shout
And I suppose...return a certain curmudgeonly old Altmer his beloved White Phial (not needed in comp of course.....but sometimes Adella is all heart).

Nicely done! I'm sure it was Adella's skill that got you out! :teehee: I think the WWS works with any object it's just easier with plate or bowl, but since I've never tried it I could be talkin' out muh....

Normally the trick needs an object that can be turned over to create a void space behind it. (Afaik.....but, I will now give it a go with other items too.)

So take a plate, even a rectangular one, a bucket or a platter and lift it to head hieght. Hold it against the wall or door so the concave side is against the surface.

Now the tricky bit....and it can be frustratingly hard....you have to move so close that the character's pov...ie. Camera...moves through the base of the plate.

Now you might think then, you just get to see under the plate......but no! The camera will for moments only...and it is fickle.....will look right through the door or wall to whatever is beyond.

It is that very moment you tap WWS and BOOM! You travel right through the wall or door to the otherside. Be wary...the door remains locked and your travel plate is left behind on the other side. So you may need a second plate if you wish to get back!

You can't travel into unloaded areas behind load screen doors....obviously. But a simple locked door....say if you are out of picks....is easy. The wall next to the door is safe usually too.

Re-entering the Thalmor embassy is favourite trick for this.....or going through the wall to kill the thalmor back in the first courtyard.

Use it in the Bromjunaar Sanctuary with your wooden mask on. You can find where the circular sanctuary floats in greenyblue cyberspace....and with practice jump to and climb the mountains placed behind it....ya gotta give that a go! Btw falling into cybervoid will pop you back inside the sanctuary!

Well, there we are.....all safe again and a little 'secret' explained :)

:hi: I would've allowed a reload, yes. You could've tried to wiggle your way out or whirlwind sprint it... At least, that's what I usually do when I'm stuck behind a bookcase. Well, not me, my character, I usually just knock the bookcase to the ground :D

Thanks Saki :)

Richard, I can assure you poppet, Rick wriggled, jumped, sprinted, crept, side shimmied, ran and shouted me in all permutations to no avail!

He is used to getting me out of tight spaces and clingy scenary, but this was simply a no go!

Thankfully now I am free to continue and at least my likeness did not have to redo the whole stupid tomb. :)

I should mention....I am still not letting him off for such slow progress. Thirty hours to raise crafts to 90% is appalling....and I am very disappointed. He will need to sleep soon.....there I can 'explain' to him how disappointed I am :glare:

Anyhow, time to get on :)

See, Adella sweetie - what I think you need to do is become the "player" with Rick as the "character" for a change. That would show him!
