Either way works for me, as long as it's consistent.

Bram is making my exact point.

At that save point I Have 1hr 9mins on the clock
Some might have it down to 20 mins
Or less if you use a preset (my post 390)
THIS time around Areial had about two hours on the clock!

I might suggest in agreement with Bram, that we make our initial saves in that tower with Ulfric. Then whatever time is shown on the clock there is just added to the allowable competition time. AND that is when the competition run begins.

Example....if you are in a 60 hour competition and you agonised over char creation.... then in the tower with Ulfic your clock might say 2 hours......so you then begin the competition and your stop time on the clock will be at.....62 hours.
Someone who knocked up a real quick build and had say only 20 mins on the clock in Ulfrics tower.....well their competition timer would be up at 60 hours and 20 minutes! Simples!

Also of course a save in that tower would be a sensible precaution for anyone who intended a restart upon char death....so getting a clock time set there is really no biggie!

Thoughts?

Alright, I'm a bit tired today, only slept around 3 hours (from 4am to 7am) so I'm sorry if I make any mistakes or whatever.

Richard, If character creation time is to be included in play time (I have no problem with this), then does not Race Menu mod provide an unfair advantage? If one were to create a character for a longer term RP (we can use my character Alice as an example) with the intention of restarting with the exact same appearance whenever they die, then for the sake of ease one would simply save this face as a preset. If one were to decide to use this face for a competition character then, it would be as simple as clicking "load preset" and you're done in 30 seconds whereas Rick and Adella (for example) lose an hour to creating the likeness to be just so due to being on console.

Point being, do we need a rule (or soft rule being more an honourable guideline) stating that each competition round must include at least one full character creation and not include the use of a custom preset? (subsequent reloads taken from ralof/ulfric tower as creation has already occurred and timed)
We've only noticed it was a problem until now and it will be voted on. The vote will most likely fall into something similar to "Creation time isn't play time" but for now it is, since many people that have been playing this round have already added their scores and used up the 60 hours.

(I quoted other posts but I pretty much said everything there is to be said above.)

Yep..but I'm pretty slow... I get very finicky at times. :-/ Ya know all my times have included creation time... including the Nekkid Nord Runs. and like a dip I never thought about why it took 3 hr's to run through Helgen..

I'm good either way ...for the next competition.. it would not be fair to change mid game.

Richard....fair enough.

All...so what's being suggested here....is that in fact......competitions actually START in the first tower with Ulfric.

Whats great about that, is you can take your time to fiddle with your characters build and appearance without it eating into your run time. :)

Adella mini update
Current score 30100
And rising
Time remaining approx 3 hours

Not possible to beat Bram....she'd have to get all the priest masks and there is not enough time (only got 3 so far.) on the plus side all wordwall dragons are Elders now and we are seeing the odd Revered pop up.

A good second place will have to be good enough!

Next move Lost tongue over look, Northwind summit and maybe Forelhost. Together that could net her another 2625

After that if any time remains I'll be searching Wiki for missing word walls

Sub note....I HATE Eldersblood Peak....had to scrabble and run against the rocks to slowly climb it cos the entrance to the real path is too damn hard to find :(

There's a short path above Drelas' cottage that I am fond of. Just head northwest from it:

Thanks Kane.....it would have been great....but its done now.

I still think Bram has a safe lead......but I'm pretty sure Adella can come in around 35000......which ain't that far behind.

It all comes down to taking the quickest points.

Adella is blisteringly fast now.....we don't even kill everything, if its not in the way we run on.

We went from Riften...got Aura Whisper at Northwind Summit and back to Riften stables in 11 minutes!

I was right to craft up her gear to high levels....shes near unbeatable....short of falling to her doom or getting surrounded by three deathlords while staggering back to her feet from a UF shout! Which can happen....especially in Forelhost.
If only I'd have readied her faster....live and learn eh!

Adella= 36400 and Two hours left!

But running out of accessible points and unused Dragon souls (1 left)....

But this is so tight....Adella is within spitting distance of Bram (Sorry Bram but it IS very posh spit :) ).

"IF " is the greatest changer of destiny.....IF I had just a couple more hours I might try Solstiem for Dukaan's mask...never been there, never seen it!
IF I knew of a couple more external walls with roosting dragons...Ah well!

Considering that she didn't start racking up points properly until around the 35 hour point, I think Adella has done really well.....she deserves a holiday :)

She's currently stood by the Markarth carriage with Lyds while we decide what to do with our 2 hours.....

@ Glargg.....recall our discussions about respawning dragons not giving up souls upon death if it was a same type dragon.
Well....eating a finger of humble pie here.....
Because I rekilled the basic dragon from Autumn watch....and it DID give Adella a soul....this time!

@ All...in the Forelhost courtyard....I found an hawk nest...ok....the bird WAS IN IT. Yeah...I got to see one landed. Its not pretty, the wings are kinda rectangular slabs with the plumage printed on it sprite style. The wings fold straight up....like a butterfly...odd!

Wow, way to go Rick and Adella!! That is so neat about the hawk. I have never seen one in a nest, but now I am going to be looking! Great run, keep it up!

You can see one on a nest outside BFB sometimes - but it's way up on a mountainside, and you really have to use TCL to see it. I did one time just to see what it was like - yeah, not well done, because basically they're only there to throw those moving shadows, just to get your attention like!

Yep, the flying ones make me just about pee myself on a regular basis. Especially at Lakeview where dragons fall out of the sky like rain.

Well, not so much fall as come straight down to land and fight with great frequency. Sorry, exaggeration fail!
