Heh. I rushed her through just so I could try it out. You know I get to play all day, remember? I use The Lover, so she levels the three main ability trees pretty fast, which means she just all around levels pretty fast. And you can start Largashbur at level 9.... plus since she's an orc, she didn't have any problem getting 4 of the five "favor quests" from stronghold smiths - the fifth of course is Ghorza's fetch-the-book quest, and if you're sneaky, you can kill just a few forsworn at the fort and get the book really easy. And because I wanted to see how it went building, I consoled in the materials as I needed them. For a "real" playthrough, I wouldn't - I'd do it the hard way (or "normal" way - whichever you want to call it). Anyway, it's a really cool mod, and I quite like the idea of doing Khajiit HF for the wagon to go with it too. |

Assuming this one was you ... Adoption at the Stronghold needs outside help. Since the Hearthfires Multiple Adoptions mod does everything needed, I set the place up to conform to its requirements, and tested with it to make sure you can "bless the home" with the provided spell. That mod permits more than two adopted kids, multiple locations for them, and a number of other things you might not need, but it does handle the generic issue of adopting at mod-added homes. I had considered including this function in mine, but then the mods conflicted, so this method is safest. |

Now am I mean enough to make a mod with the PERFECT torture chamber, just so that Rick can't satisfy the Contessa's demand for it? Almost, if the Bosmer one wasn't taking up all the time. :bang: |

How far do you go with the "hard" way? For the regular DLC materials, you can buy all of them, and for some, that's the only way to get them. In Argonian Hearthfires, I provided a smelter recipe for glass, and you find some material clearing the rubble. The reason I'm asking is that Bosmer Hearthfies, currently in development, will use Animal Bones that can only be obtained by hunting with no purchase option. If some folks want to find everything in the shops, then I see some dissent arising. P.S. There's a copy of "The Last Scabbard of Akrash" lying out in the open near Black-Briar Lodge. No need to battle anything. Edited by ghastley, Jul 22 2016, 12:59 PM.

For most of my "you build it's"... I try and "find" everything, buying only as a last resort. But I do have those characters that buy most of it and for Blackthorn, I often use the "cheater chest" to build everything but the manor. I have no issues with hunting for the materials...as long as it's not extreme. |

Oh, I didn't know that about the book, ghastley, thanks! I don't generally mind killing a few forsworn.... I go fairly far with the hard way - at some point with the HF houses, I usually wind up buying straw, glass, and goat horns, but most of the rest of it's not a problem, especially anything that needs leather (*sigh* I can't BELIEVE how many wolves you get to kill....) And I generally buy the logs - because I'm too uninterested to "make friends" with the mill people to do them myself.... @Areial - yeah, I used the cheat chest after building Blackthorn Manor the hard way - WAY too much to gather for the whole town. |

I f anyone is crazy enough to beta-test.... Bosmer Hearthfires 0.2 The documentation (wiki-style) is here. I'd only recommend using a new character, as you might need to restart if I add anything as a result of feedback. The quest properties are baked into the save, and the building quest has to start when installed. Edited by ghastley, Jul 29 2016, 07:10 PM.

Her excuse for not wearing linen or cotton is the Green Pact, I forget why she's not wearing armour, but it seemed reasonable when she explained it to me. :D |

ghastley, ran into a problem. The first thing I tried to make was the chairs (because I had the mats for them on hand - after doing Halted Stream and killing a bunch of wolves). I made a chair. Both menu options for "Chair" were still there. So I clicked on the second menu line for a chair. Both menu options went away. But there are no chairs. AND after saving, quitting and loading the save, my character's pants are gone - she's naked from the waist down. She's wearing Tembtra Thief Trousers, Corset Tunic, Armlet Straps, Pouches, and Light Leather Sandals (from a different mod). The pants are still in her inventory, and show activated, but don't show on her. The rest of her gear is there as normal. I tried this 5 times just to be sure it wasn't me doing something stupid. Happened every time. She's using the same selection of mods as my other wood elf, only Bosmer Hearthfires is different for her. |

The second chair recipe was checking you hadn't built the first, instead of itself, I could reproduce that symptom myself. However, I'm not having any issue with the chairs appearing, which must mean there's a problem with the bsa, and something's missing. I usually have more problems with that than building the mod in the first place. Expect a new build soon. Real soon. like now. Bosmer HF 0.3 --- I'm still trying to figure out the wardrobe malfunction. Nothing in mine equips an item on the player (which is the only way that effect would be seen). Does the console command "player.showinventory" indicate anything odd marked as "worn"? And another question, what slot number do those pants use? Edited by ghastley, Jul 30 2016, 05:19 PM.

The only "worn" items she has showing in player.showinventory are: Tembtra Thief Corset Tunic Tembtra Thief Armlets Tembtra Thief Pouches Tembtra Thief Trousers Light Leather Sandals Kyne's Token Charmed Necklace and her bow and arrows The Trousers are in Slot 53 - Leg Primary. Grabbed the new distro, thanks! |

And that fixed the chair issue handily, thanks a bunch. She's still missing pants though. Very odd. I finish up testing tomorrow and after I'm done, I'll do something about her nether nakedness! |

Kyne's Token and the Charmed Necklace are both vanilla items that take up the Amulet slot, so it shouldn't be possible to wear both. That's odd in itself. This mod does reference Kyne's Token in testing that you have it, but doesn't equip it or anything similar. I have no Armor or ArmorAddon items, so couldn't be overriding any. Only those would reference the armor slots. Edited by ghastley, Jul 30 2016, 06:44 PM.

I have a mod to let me wear extra amulets and rings. One of them's in the neck slot, the other in the amulet slot. When I get back to it in the morning, I'll unequip both and see what happens. But both were equipped all along, and the pants were there.... I dunno. Very very odd. |

In the meantime, conjure yourself up a dress because going pantsless in the wilds of Skyrim is just bad juju. I'm still trying to get my game stable. T.T |
