The rules are essentially, "do not be too much of a prick", however if you need that breaking down further;- [[ NO ]] excessive trolling or harassment.
- [[ NO ]] metagaming, powergaming, god-modding.
- [[ NO ]] killing other characters member off without their will, or them having a chance.
- [[ NO ]] sniping or random killing.
- [[ DO NOT ]] roleplay without a file created.
- [[ DO NOT ]] used coloured chat when not essential.
- If a staff member says decision is FINAL, decision is FINAL!

This roleplay is default emote, with alternate methods of RP used only in one on one duels where both parties agree. Emote roleplay is turn based, meaning you have to give your an opponent an opportunity to react before you continue roleplaying.
Emote combat involves two (or more) players taking into account their own individual strengths and weaknesses of their character and fairly incorporating them into the combat situation they're in. Emote is not about how many words you type or how amazingly descriptive or intelligent you appear to be with each word. You can emote with simply 4 words if you wanted to, word count really doesn't matter. What does matter is how well you respond and take initiative against your opponents. You shouldn't be aiming to land every hit on your opponent and you shouldn't be dodging every hit yourself. It's a balancing act which progresses with each different reaction given, rather than a face off of who has the bigger ego. It's also turn-based, meaning you give your opponent a chance to react and then respond appropriately to what they've written. For instance:
Player A: Walks up to B from behind Player A: Punches him in the back of the head Player B: Oh, he's unexpectedly punching me in the back of my head. I have no way of telling he's coming, I best take this hit. -- What Player B's thought process should be ✔ Player B: Oh this fucking dickhead again. I'm not going to lose, my character's the best. -- What Player B's thought process shouldn't be. ✖ Player B: -Gets punched in the back of the head and falls forward-
If you're still unsure on what emote really is, ask a member of staff or even a member in the roleplay might be able to inform you. |

There may have been some confusion over the rules on death. In this rp, Death is ruled as optional for any scene that is not a story-line or quest scene, where you may not be given a choice. Death can only occur in certain circumstances; - You consent to being killed in a scene.
This means that if you decide that during a fight, you want your character to die; you can let the opposition know so they may rp their characters actions appropriately. This needs to be a joint decision; as you cannot force your death on somebody without it being their intention.
- You wish to kill somebody in a scene and they consent.
Equally, you may ask somebody if you're allowed to kill them during a scene and they can answer you yes or no.
- You repeatedly intentionally put yourself in critical danger.
If you are roleplaying and constantly try to body-block blades and heavy attacks for other people; you may be ruled as dead for the sake of idiocy. You may be let off this or allowed to change your decision after being told the result. This also includes incorrectly responding to a dire injury (such as a lost limb).
- A storyline scene or quest where a staff member has deemed your situation too dire to escape.
To give storyline scenes weight and meaning; characters have to die. Yours may be one. Why do we do this? Simply because being forced into an unavoidable death is not fun nor inherently realistic. |
