driven like the snow... are an acoustic based collective from the dark realm of tamworth, england (although our violinist currently resides in london below. our music is difficult to pigeonhole (yes i know every band says that) but could be described as modern folk, 21st century protest songs, or acoustic punk (punk in attitude, rather than the outdated water treading conservativeness which has masqueraded under the name for the last 20 or so years)

driven like the snow intend to steal back the reputation of acoustic based singer songwriters from the bland soulless dinner party music from stage school trained wastes of DNA such as katie melua and james blunt. we see our contemporaries as being songwriters and bands such as bob dylan (up until about 1976), bright eyes, neil young, patrick wolf, martin grech, arcade fire, mogwai, arab strap, david bowie, julian cope, the cure and sophia. generally anyone who has forged their own path rather than sticking to a record company defined formula.
