Discuss the aspects of generation 5 stall. Which pokemon are essential? Which pokemon are overlooked? How popular are some of the classic techniques, such as Resttalk and Hazard phazing? Some examples of discussion topics could be Nattorei, Burungeru, Forretress, Tyranitar, and others. |

Nattorei, Burungeru, Skarmory, Gliscor, Hippowdon, Gyarados/other RestTalk Phazers, and bulky Evo-Stone Mons are all great on Stall teams. Erufuun, Sableye, etc., also useful for stall. |

Gliscor is annoying.... With Poison Heal, decent typing, and good defensive stats. It seems like nothing except Ice and Water can take him down.... |

I think Gliscor is one of the best stall Pokemon out there. Chansey is also amazing with the huge Evo Stone boosts and the new wish mechanisms. (The Pokemon gains 50% of the wishers HP. That's over 300 from Chansey.) Burungeru has excellent typing and stats, so he's useful. Nattorei is amazing, with the best typing ever, leech seed, spikes, and does a lot of damage with Gyro Ball/Power Whip. |

Doryuuzu is making appearences in stall. It's not neccesarily a "stalling" pokemon, but Sand Throw for its ability has made it quite popular. I've also seen Wish Salamence and Phazing Garchomp make appearences, both are quite defensive with the correct EV Spread (especially Salamence, with Intimidate backing its Defense up.) |

Wishmence? Thats a new one, but i could see it working. Could you post an EV spread for it? Doryuuzu is also a decent staller, being able to spin and attack, working great with the stalling power of Hippowdon. And Garchomp with Rest/Sleeptalk/Dragon Tail/Roar is brutal if you're opponent has enough layers of hazards up. |

I like that set, but I've always liked Salamence doing it sence he has access to Dragon Dance, meaning you can build phaze and sweep: Salamence @ Leftovers Intimidate EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Rest - Sleep Talk - Dragon Dance - Dragon Tail Just seems more better, imo, but both of those sets can't function without Entry Hazards, a Spin Blocker, and a good steel remover (Like Magnezone). I like Stall in Gen 5, it's certainly got a boost from Gen 4 (In fact, the only two teams I've made in Gen 5 have been Stall :o). The only problem Stall is having is the rise of new Stall Breakers, like Hydreigon, and the fact that Blaziken is now a viable Pokemon, replacing Infernape. Stall is just having some ups, and some downs, but it's become a good playstyle. I still remember when People said Stall would die this gen. :P |
