After Half Master Race's adventure through the Savage Frontier, dealing with the Ordaining, rescuing Hekaton, the rest of the team took a break and went to their separate home's until they were summoned for the awarding ceremony. Holed up in her own home, the Tiefling stayed in her study sorting out books that she had come by during her travels and writing information down that she had learned from the Giant's during her travel as well as taking notes of the various creatures that they had encountered. Stacks of books were laid across her study table, her pet Griffon lay asleep in the corner of the room and the Lamia was writing away at her desk as she tried to recall every single creature that they had faced. She had her notes on the people that she had met, the towns they had visited and her sketches of the different giant runes. In her home, it seemed absurdly quiet. In such a huge house were only two creatures who hardly made much of a fuss. The place seemed almost spotless as she had just recently gone home and her apprentice had left long before she got back. Lamia laid back against her chair, picking up her goblet from the table and swirled it around before taking a sip of the crushed good berry juice. The Tiefling stood, grabbing some of her books and heading to the shelves to return them to their proper place. |

It figures that the person in trouble when Icarus calls would be a wizard, but this one seemed even less stable than other magi Merrick had ever met. "The patient is stable, but disoriented. Please refrain from casting any more magic until you have stabilized your mental condition as well." A quick once over told Merrick that the elf would be fine, though there was now blood all over the floor as well, adding considerably to the chaos in the room. He wondered who owned this place... and the next few places in that direction. Merrick then backed off, shrugging away the looks that Icarus was giving him. Magic was not something he was well equipped to solve, much less half-mad mages. Merrick packed up his healing supplies and found a seat to take out his second breakfast - sausages, hard biscuits that had been there since morning, and a fruit wine that he picked up on the way. Considering the way this day has been going, there probably would not be many chances to eat or rest. Edited by Merrick Tealeaf, Sep 11 2017, 01:59 AM.

Despite the huge commotion that occurred right in front of him, Hiro still kept on drinking his tea as if he knew this was about to happen. "Pardon me, Lamia. I believe it would be best to discuss this when everyone has settled properly," Hiro spoke in between sips. He did not know what kind of tea it was in particular that the tiefling made but he still found it to be quite suited to his tastes. I must ask Ulthware to share some of the leaves her had used for this. Maybe a trade for some of mine?, he mused as he noticed the commotion wrapping iteself up. After the wall had been turned into fine dust that scatter in the air, the young wizard set down his half full cup and approached the newly made entrance to the manor. He knelt down to one knee and traced a glyph on the ground as he whispered, "Sai keisei shimasu" and the wall reformed itself albeit without any designs or its old grandeur. "Someone will have to redecorate this. I could but it might no longer be to Lamia's taste, Ulth.," he said as he walked over to the tiefling wizard. He gave a quick lookover to the elf in the room before giving a small bow. "I do believe we have not met. My name is Kimihiro but your... apprentice and his friends call me Hiro," he introduced himself before looking at the halfling. "And to you kind sir, my utmost thanks. My friend, Kael, did not intend to give you a scare. He was simply in shock, I'm sure you know of many such cases.," Hiro chimed as he tossed a small bag filled with several dozen gold pieces. Bounding back to his seat, Hiro picked up his now warm tea and reheated it once more. "Now I believe everyone's gathered for a reason?" |

Sipping her tea, the Tiefling remained calm until she heard a familiar spell made her front door burst open, hearing her apprentice shout. "What in the nine hells--" Lamia asked, Frostbite jumping down as she stood to meet her apprentice, seeing Kael's body above the floating disk. Lamia looked at her apprentice then approaching Kael and inspected him closely. "It seems he had taken a strong blow which rendered him unconcious. What happened?" Lamia asked, raising an eyebrow at her apprentice and then looking at Icarus, not even surprised that she was invisible. "Still, he cannot be left alone to be like this. " Lamia sighed. "Icarus, that will not do to wake him up. I had expected everyone to come though I should have known Kael Inverse would make an entrance despite being unconcious." The Azure Tiefling shook her head, then seeing Icarus cast a spell. Just a few moments before Lamia would start to cast cure wounds on the sorcerer, her apprentice opened the door to an armored halfling who made his way towards them. She looked at him curiously then at Icarus. "I assume he is someone you know?" Seeing that no one else recognized him. "I would have yet my medicine kit is upstairs."The feeling of incompetence washed over her as she should have responded faster than she did. As the Halfling pulled out his holy symbol, Lamia looked a bit away as the bright light caught her off guard. "I suppose-" before she could finish her sentence, a green light followed that put a gaping hole in her wall. Her eyes went wide at the sight, that being something she did not expect to occur since she whenever she would heal him, he never disintegrated anyone. "You teleported again, did you not? Plane shift I suppose?" The Tiefling guessed, recalling a similar instance then murmuring a curse word in infernal. "Thank you, Hiro. " Lamia shook her head, the panic she felt subsiding as her wall was repaired. "As Icarus said, hold back on the disintegrates." Lamia crossed her arms. "You may use one of the guest rooms if you so wish, Ulthware may accompany you." then turning to the Halfling. "I should have introduced myself earlier. My name is Lamia Daerva." A short and brief introduction which seemed just like the Tiefling. Shaking her head at the commotion that died down, Lamia relaxed herself then scanning the faces of everyone in the room. "I believe today we are all gathered for the awarding ceremony but for now, I shall feed you all." As she said that, Lamia turned her back to them and went into the dining area. A gem encrusted bowl being brought out of a chest and then placing it in the center of her dining table. "Prazdnik geroyev!" The Tiefling chanted, casting for ten minutes as she focused on her spell. Everything happened in a flash. The halfling healed the elf sorcerer. The elf sorcerer disintegrated the wall. Up to me to clean him up I guess, thought Ulthware, but more alarmingly, he grabbed her hand. These two have some history. Disappointing but not the end of the world. "Everyone must be starving", he said walking over to the kitchen to grab a tray of appetizers. With a little help from Sebastian, Ulthware quickly prepared a tray of small sandwiches lined in three rows of four. The sandwiches were of salmon, turkey, and beef. Upon returning to the study, he found that the wall had been fixed, albeit imperfectly. He approached Icarus with the tray of food, carrying the whole thing in one hand as a butler would. "Lady Icarus, you seem famished. Have something to eat," he said with as courteous a smile as he could muster. I could also show you to your rooms. You may be tired from your journey, he added. Yes, it will be my greatest honor to bring you upstairs, he thought naughtily. He then noticed Hiro approached him. "Yes M'lord?" |

"Thank you so much, Merrick. I owe you my life" Kael says, as he hands out a pouch with enough gold to feed the cleric for a week. "I am so sorry about the wall Ms. Lamia" Kael says as he realized the destruction his magic made. Another though entered soon after. Who was she?? Who was the boy sipping tea? Who was the wizard that fixed the wall? "You all speak to me as if we were friends, however; isn't this the first time we met?" Kael says, unable to recall past memories, save for who he is, how to fight, and the person who he spent time with the most when he's not saving the world. "Apologies. Not that I wasn't sure you wouldn't be able to heal him. Just a force of habit." Icarus muttered, feeling quite sheepish that Ulth had brought them to Lamia to be healed, only for her to call on a cleric. She had met the tiefling several times--most notably during their assault on Maerimydra. It was a blur to her mostly, but Icarus did remember crying. She hoped no one else did. In the number of times she had come close to death--or had actually died, none marked her so much as Maerimydra. Merrick had made himself comfortable already, seated in a corner, pulling out what could be his second, third, or even fourth breakfast of that day. The smell of the food made Icarus stomach grumble, but even then, she stood in her place, ignoring the hunger pangs--she only ate meat when there was absolutely no other option. It was then that Icarus finally glanced at the other man in the room--the one with Lamia. He was a caster, by the look of it, the way he put the wall back together. He seemed young, but then again, everyone was young next to Icarus. He also seemed quite foreign. Icarus gave Kimihiro a nod instead, and returned her focus on Kael. She was not in the habit of giving out her name to random strangers. Lamia offered food, and Icarus let out a breath of relief. Any offer of food usually made her wary, but at least she trusted Kael's friend more than any old innkeep. However, to her dismay, it was the other tiefling that came offering food. She glared at Ulthware, but nevertheless took a sandwich. The way he said 'lady' irritated her endlessly, but she decided that the more she talked, the more he had something to say. "This is not funny, Kael'thas." Icarus snapped half-heartedly at Kael, in an effort to wait for everyone to take a bite of their food first before she did. |

Kael grabs a sandwich and takes a bite. Perhaps a bit of food will help him remember? After eating a sandwich, he tries to remember who the tiefling was, however; his head began to hurt. "Aargh" Kael mutters, as he places his hand on his head. He looks around the room once more, until his gaze falls on his former master, realizing that she is his only link to his past. She's starving, he thought. He does not remember how he knows. He just... knows. "Why don't you eat more, Icarus? the food is great." Kael says, realizing that she has barely eaten. If she's my only link to my past, then I'd best make sure to take care of her. Kael thought. Edited by Kael Inverse, Sep 11 2017, 10:31 AM.

Calling her Lady seemed to annoy her. Crap. Have to change tactics. Maybe she lost her house? Maybe she just doesn't like the formality? He was pushing all the wrong buttons. His only edge at the moment was that he was holding the food tray and she was hungry. Oh how he would want to feed her himself, he thought. Carrying on from Kael's suggestion, he insisted, "Yes, have as much as you want. I apologize if I upset you. How would you prefer I address you? I don't wish to be rude." Ulthware focused on Icarus, gauging her reaction. Seeing the blond elf wince, he called out to his unseen servant. "Sebastian, bring Lord Kael some tea." With that, an invisible force raises a cup and begins to dip a bag of tea into it. Once the tea particles settled and began to swirl around, Sebastian trudged over to where Kael was. Turning once again to Icarus, "How about you? You must be parched?" |

Watching Kael glance about, rather confused, Icarus was beginning to think he might not be playing a game at all. Icarus looked at Merrick, trying to confirm if this was possible. "Why don't you eat more, Icarus? The food is great" " Yes, Have as much as you want--" Aside from being told what to do, Icarus could hear her blood pounding in her ears. Defiantly, she looked from Kael to Ulth, and set down her untouched food, crossing her arms in front of her. She could starve--but she would not be told what to do. Gingerly, she slipped her hand inside her collar, as though to massage her clavicle, but she quietly traced a symbol onto her skin to keep the casting away from their prying eyes. Khorgol, you idiot--I left Kael'thas with you and now he's gone and lost his mind--what happened?! Icarus sent to Khorgol quickly, hoping he could hear just how livid she was. She watched as Kael put his hands to his head, rubbing away a headache. " Merrick, do something. " Icarus said, gesturing at Kael haphazardly out of frustration. As Ulth once again badgered her to take something, Icarus very slowly turned towards him, glowering at him. "I. suggest. you. leave. me. alone. Now." Icarus said in a low, dangerous tone. |

Two wrongs don't make a right, and two breakfasts don't make a lunch. Everyone had been excellently polite other than the Elf who continued to act strangely so Merrick felt quite welcome to stay for another meal. There were few reasons why people would still act so disoriented after healing unless there were other preconditions causing complications, as healing would always heal the most serious wounds first. If he still did not feel better after the meal, he would be a truly strange elf, or may require a restoration. It was uncomfortable to be in the presence of so many who could rend matter into their component parts at the same dining table, but small talk of introductions and sharing their adventures together kept the table animated and civil. Mr. Kael, if you still feel unwell, I could offer further healing services, though I would need to borrow a diamond from our hosts Merrick wondered if there was a dessert to be served after this |
