Casting spells To cast a spell, all that is required is to roll 2d6 and add your wisdom. If this number equals or exceeds the casting value of a spell, then the spell is successfully cast, and takes effect. Thus, if I try to cast Ice shard, my wisdom is 8, and I roll 2d6, giving me a 7, I then add my wisdom, which gives me a total of 15. I have equalled the casting value, and successfully cast the spell. Minions You can have different numbers of minions depending on level. If You are level 1-5, you can have 1 minion. Level 6-10, you can have 2, and so on every 5 levels. Most minions will not heal on their own, but any health gained through spells may be transferred to a minion. Minions only fade when dispelled or killed. Mana Each spell costs d6 mana, unless otherwise specified. Mana replenishes, like hp, when you sleep or eat or level up. Gaining more spells Every 20 levels, mages can multi-doctrine. Also, every 10 levels, you will gain a new spell that you can cast in each doctrine. |
