THRIVING IN NYC: important skills you won't learn in school.
Saturday, August 18th at 1pm.
Cost: $20

Congratulations! You have years of theatre training under your belt, and you're ready to move to New York and become a star! But...now what? Ronn will teach you all about how to take all of your training and apply it in the "real world."
-Where should you live?
-Who should you audition for?
-How will you stand out from the crowd?
-Who should you continue to study with?
-How will you become known by the important people who will hire you?
-Did you know many actors have been offered roles simply from Twitter and Facebook?

Ronn will share all the insider secrets he's learned after spending years as a working professional in NYC. Topics will include auditioning, survival jobs, marketing, social media, continuing education, and much more! If you're hoping to move to NYC soon, or someday in the future, this is the workshop you won't want to miss!

RONN BURTON, an Oklahoma native, is now proud to call New York City home. After graduating from Shenandoah Conservatory with his BFA in Musical Theatre, Ronn moved to NYC in 2009 and is blessed to have not stopped working. In his three short years, he has performed Off-Broadway, in independent film, and on primetime television! Film: Lost In Staten Island. TV: Celebrity Ghost Stories on The Biography Channel. Selected NYC Credits include: The Best of Lerner & Loewe with Kelli O'Hara and Sondheim's 80th Birthday Celebration, both at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops, the original Off-Broadway cast of Uncle Pirate (Original Cast Recording), and the Off-Broadway revival of Iron Curtain. He lives on the UPPER Upper East Side with his lovely family.
