I feel like what they said is relevant to the PCMR. The part where they're talking about how people .... fucking goddamn can't think of how to word this. Having to re-listen to what they're saying about fun. About convincing people they're not having as much fun as you. One thing I read once was somebody saying something about the best possible gaming experience or some shit. Motherfucker, YOU don't decide what's the best gaming experience for me. For some people it's sitting in a chair talking to friends while playing WoW. Some people it's speedrunning, some people like handhelds, etc. This isn't some kind of superiority contest. Are the PCMR so insecure or pathetic that they have to pat themselves on the back and strut around because their graphics are better? I've never heard you say much about it so I don't know your angle. Everything has it's pros and cons. Hell, my favorite ways to game are on the 360, NDS and GameCube in that order. Of the 360 I'm of a decently sized gaming community of people who call themselves achievement hunters. Even in our community we have different sub-communities. 2 of my friends are 100% completionists who try to complete everything and avoid games that can't be completed. Some of us don't buy DLC at all, others only buy DLC with achievements and people like me, buy all of it for some unhealthy reason. Some people play games just for achievements and nothing else, they wouldn't play any other console because of it. There are people who just try to get as much Gamerscore as possible and there are people who play games they love and help others get achievements along the way. Sometimes, that's me. I'll use any excuse to go back to games I loved and miss playing but don't have any other reason to. Playing with a keyboard and mouse is incredibly unpleasant to me. My wrist hurts after I spend too much time using it doing things like reading wiki pages. Installing games and dealing with random errors and gamebreaking bugs like I did with Morrowind. Having to deal with all the various platforms that host my games and registration codes and not being able to conveniently browse the internet are all very annoying to me. The internet thing honestly being the biggest problem for me. Because of all of that, I really don't see how some PCMR motherfucker gets off on telling me their preferred platform is the best gaming experience. I find it as stupid as I find the people who pick sides and play fanboy/girl because I play on whatever consoles/platforms I feel like playing on at the moment and stick to the ones I deem best. Hell, I have a gaming PC for the most part and the only current gen console I'm missing is the PS4 and I still play on my 360 and DS more than anything. Graphics don't mean anything to me either. (Shoulda put this above). Just a couple months ago I was playing Pokémon Silver on my GameBoy Advance on the same days I was playing Xbone games for achievements. I recently started Contra on my 360 and I fucking love it! I don't care that it's old, it looks and plays amazing in my eyes. If you enjoy one platform more than another, that's fine. Let the dumbass fanboy/girls duke it out and be the adult and just play what you want. Find people who like the same stuff as you or do what I do (because of my obscure taste) and just try to get by talking to anybody for the most part. It's possible to like one thing more than another without being a douche about it and having a civil conversation. Edited by CROW, Mar 11 2016, 07:47 AM.
