Here's a faulty Nintendo DS Lite that I own. It was my original DS Lite from Christmas 2007. Back in 2010, I tried to replace the shell and damaged the top screen. I'm not sure if it's because I messed up the ribbon cable or the cable plug or both. I've yet to get my hands on a new screen. At some point, the hinges broke as well. The L & R Buttons had long since been broken and now it needs new button pads as well. I just wanted to make a post about it before I ever get around to fixing it/having it fixed.

If I get around to tearing it down again or helping with the teardown, I'll take pictures of the inside. I'll also need screws from another DS Lite as I managed to mix them all up when I was putting this one back together. That's what I get for being impatient and taking it apart months before I ever got the new case. I might even still have the LEDs the case came with.

Thanks. I realized, I have that broken, disgusting DS Lite. I can at least salvage the screws from it for my DS. I'm sure we could also use other parts from it if we save it. I'll have to do my best to clean it up and look it over.

If they work and can be salvaged, screens, for the love of everything that runs on electricity, save the screens and digitizers
