Im declaring myself king! Why? Because everyone else is doing it. Seriously this whole declaring yourself king is a little stupid. First of all it's sheer narcisssism. Why do I say this? Because it's always someone declaring themselves king, and besically, it's saying they're better than everyone else. Second, all it is, is an treaty between people, but, again, its elevating one person above others. Finally, I think it's just silly. Title, in my opinon will probably not hold toooo much effect in this game. Some just remeber that most every king of a kingdom in the books has died so far. So there you have it, my rant for today. Also, I dont want anyone to take offense, I'm just stating an opinion. |

King of the Reach
|
I have Highgarden and all the lands behind it. I would not put my allies beneath me; I only claim the Reach because I hold the lion's share of it. An alliance will have to parcel out its lands to its members sooner or later don't you think? Let them be kings of the Riverlands, Stromlands, etc... And we are warlords in this game. Warlords are supposed to be narcisistic; thats why they try and take over the world. Bathos would have a good claim to being King of the West in my opinion; he has most of it. For the same reason I think I have a good claim to the Reach. Now... Queens who have only one city are another issue, but I think you can proclaim yourself whatever you want as long as you've got the goods to back it up. Titles don't mean jack... but they sound awful pretty

King of the Westerlands

Ha, it seems I have started a craze. There are bloody Kings and Queen cropping up all over the land, but do not fear Celendil, Ill make sure I try to lessen their numbers in the future. |

Kings rise and fall... sure, they generally possess large portions of territory, but they rely on the submission and peace-keeping of other people as well. After all, why make an enemy out of someone who could be a friend? Besides, lots of people may declare themselves Kings, but how many have the desire, the fortitude, and the kindness tempered with ruthlessness that a King requires? Personally, I have no desire to rule a kingdom - too much work. I will rule over my small portion of Dorne and be happy, but I am not about to submit to other rule either. I shall govern as I see fit.
