Your inquisitive statement said any voice. My apologies if I mistook that literally. |

Senators, my view on the matter. We have a strong system, which has been developed by hard work on everyones part by the expression of views. We all have a voice, and, so should our colonies in which we mentain as an extension of our formation. But, as ever, there are concerns. If we limit their power too much, we could face disloyalty and treason. So, to give them a voice may gain their support. On the other hand, if they attain a stronger presence that ourselves, then we may face actions which may not be the best for ourselves. We have an experienced system which must be mentained, so a limitation of their power is advised. Possibly a cap on Senate membership from the colonies, or a Council composed of the Colony nations that can be overruled by legislation. They would have a representive body, but would still be answerable to our systems. I would happen to be in favour of a Senate member cap, or a Council as we cannot deliver them too much power. |

Many good thoughts here. I still like the Colony Council idea. Anyone want to write a draft of a bill on this subject? |

I have one last idea that may limit the colonies from getting too much power. If we impose a weighted voting system upon the colony senators then we would have more power by Imperial Senators having say 4 votes each and Colonial Senators having 2 each. Therefore they still have power but not enough that they could become a severe pain in the backside. |

I'm in support of the Colonial Council. Can the Senate suggest what direction we will a follow, Council or a point system, before we take it to a Bill? |

My idea, British Nation States, creates a Colonial Council whose body will be known as Colonial Senators in the Legion. These people will have a certain weight to their name when they vote, the reason for are entailed in my past post. |

Surely, if they even got to the point of outnumbering Legion Senators 2:1, then we should lose the power. It's extremely unlikely, but we should prepare for anything. |

I assume there will be a limit to the amount of Colonial Senators, British Nation States. Then they will not have the ability to gain a majority. |

Indeed. And by weighting their votes we can give the immediate illusion that they have the upper hand. Psychology is the greatest weapon of oppression. |
