On more the clearer days of the city when the citizens move slower and the more dark move further into the shadows a young women justs quietly outside of the moonlight cafe with a simple looking laptop and some unknown gadgets. Her golden stare focused keenly on the codes and networks as her hands tingled and aided in her conquest. Ten of so minutes passing with a banking account unlocked of some old business man who wouldn't need the money anyways. The teen giving a playful chuckle at the beautiful number of what he owned.

"I think it's time you give back to the poor Mr. Ricksom."Eclipsa softly said before taking one of the foreign gadgets to plug into the laptop which hummed a gentle flow of electricity into her system. Her breath soft while her magic worked as without a trace almost twenty thousand was gone and into one of her own private accounts to keep her funded.

Just to show her love Eclipsa emailed him a little cartoon wolf holding up a heart before shutting most of her work down. Unplugging her device to swiftly place into her bag as she called over a waitress to order a moca before causally opening one of her games to play. From a distance no one suspected her of anything just from her appearance; just a normal teen playing some game at the cafe. This almost getting her off as she felt like those government agents or secret spies who basically got away with anything. She could mess with her apartment neighbors lights for a month and never get accused for a thing, a party that never seemed to end. Eclipsa pausing her game to take the cold drink while thanking the waitress before slipping a tip as this place was the best for their mocas. Her instincts mainly to avoid public food but she couldn't resist, the temptation was too difficult.

"To another lovely donation."Eclipsa softly toasted as the money really did come in handy as tech wasn't cheap these days. Especially with a mysterious hacker going around and messing with homes and security.

Nodding her head Eclipsa took the card with a small smile, scanning the information before she placed it into her pocket. Hiding the slight excitement as to getting information so easily by just talking to him, a little foolish on his part but he didn't know anything about her. To him, she's Stephanie Blake the computer engineer. "I can always help you with it. I wouldn't mind it since I think actual laptops are a breeze than what I work with normally.Eclipsa offered as she vividly remembers all those complex breakers and server rooms which could take hours to crack. Causing much annoyanence than anything she's normally used to.

Feeling a little sympathy for him she always thought a reporter would live in some type of home. Of course Eclipsa knew not everyone would live glamorously but he didn't really deserve it. This being a rare thought since everyone in this city deserves nothing yet he was genuinely innocent to all this corruption and evil. "you're a good person Ray. The Daylight Times is lucky to have you. Probably the city as well." Eclipsa genuinely complimented while looking him in the eye, showing that she wasn't belittling him or poking fun at him. Quickly going back to her normal attitude to show no weakness.

Breaking the moment she went back to drinking her moca while thinking to herself, uncertain of what he may truly do for the city. He may be young and new but with new ideas he might actually save them in the end.

Ray laughed, waving his hand as if to say, 'don't worry about it'. But as he did so, he thought to himself, maybe he should consider at least the offer.
The reporter smiled, replying, "I think I'll take you up on that.."

Eclipsa's words sounded so encouraging to Ray, feeling that he kind of needed that sort of support. The reporter rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment, tipping his hat and head down to hide the expression.
"Coming from someone I just met a while ago, that means a lot to me, given how I'm just new to the city. Thanks a lot, Steph."
Then, he remembered something - Maxie. His face suddenly shifting to a sad expression as he remembered the funeral that took place a few weeks ago.
"I wish there were more people like my cousin. I'm just simply trying to follow his moral footsteps..by exposing the truth behind the lies just as he fought for the city's safety.."

Eclipsa smiled and felt more friendly to the man before her. Despite almost threatening his whole life she saw that behind his job he was really a good man. A little more righteous than most of the rats scurrying the city which did include herself. Despite doing some good she could never force herself to do only good with the abilities she was granted by a power she has yet to really uncover. This Ray most likely causing a stir within the people."It'll be nothing but a catwalk. It's just fancy geek talk that frightens people."Eclipsa said with a smile, feeling comfortable with a complete stranger.

Seeing him tip his hat she nearly wanted to playfully swat it off before noticing the shift in his mood. Obviously something happened which brought him here, maybe a tragedy but she wouldn't want to bring it up. Sometimes the pain can force someone off the path which she secretly didn't want to happen to him. "They would be proud Ray. You're doing something normally no one does here. Stay sweet kid."Eclipsa said before leaning in to push his hat down further to lighten the mood. Paging a waitress down to order two slices of cake to treat him.

This Ray might of been a goodie two shoes but to her he felt different. He wasn't only just some nosy reporter getting into everyone's business, he was human like the rest of them. The bright eyed rosy cheek newbie just his facade for something greater, most likely bigger than himself in the end. 'Do something good for yourself, you're human to."Eclipsa thought while the waitress returned to set down the cakes slices in front of them, her lips growing into a small grin before leaving. Her mind most likely assuming things.

Again, more encouragement. Ray was confused, he barely knew this young woman, yet she's talking to him as she really knew him. Was it because she really did? Or just to make him feel better? Either ways, it was still a positive reinforcement.

The reporter could just do nothing but smile at Stephanie's words, bringing his head up again as he regained his confidence. "Ok, you got me there. No need to make me feel all squishy inside." chuckled Ray, setting himself up properly on his chair. "Maybe I haven't been really fully transparent with you, so I'll just explain myself then since you're literally the first kind person I've met since I've got here."

And so, Ray began explaining how he had heard of the tragedy that was the Gladius HQ explosion that resulted in the deaths of hundreds, with the Chief and his cousin, Maxie Blackout who died protecting the Gladius leader.
"Rumors has it that even the Chief's wife and only child died in the explosion, though I can't say for sure.." added Ray, "I came here because I wanted to know why that terrorist attack happened."
He took out a picture of him and Maxie. It had a young boy probably at age 15 or so and a 30 year old man who liked a soldier, his hair white and an eye-patch on his left side. The photo was taken on some public school, with the young boy wearing his school uniform and the man with the standard army uniform for captains.
Ray slid the photo to Eclipsa's side of the table for her to see.

Gingerly taking the photo in her hands Eclipsa looked other the photo with some sadness her in eyes. The topic familiar to her as she had some information about it yet the news made it muddled and sometimes tampered which wouldn't be salvageable. Her eyes lingering at the young Eat before gently sliding it over to him again. "I'm sorry this happened to you Ray.. losing a family member isn't easy to overcome. Your cousin will rest peacefully since you'll give him justice."Eclipsa said with a small smile, wishing she could say more to him yet she didn't want to blow her cover. The last thing she wanted was to ruin this little friendship she had.

"I remember the event when I first started high school. It was everywhere on the news here. Apparently some said it was the work of the mob here while others said the whole attack was an inside job."Eclipsa explained as it was a huge event that was like wildfire in the city. Everyone was so scared and unsure since Gladious was their super man and with the building down it almost felt like someone had just stabbed him with a knife.

Ray was silent once more, but after a few moments, he looked back at Stephanie and smiled weakly, taking back the picture discreetly. "It's a reminder to tell me how much I owe him..I need to do my part."

Ray's eyes blinked at the mention of high school, his curiosity getting the best of him again, "Oh, which high school did you studied in?" asked Ray.

Offering a small smile of encouragement Eclipsa tried not to damper his mood any further. Seeing that he still was little hurt despite the time of when all this happened."You're doing a good job Ray. He would've wanted you to take the path the he would of gone as well. You'll give yourself justice."Eclipsa kindly said while picking up the fork to finally enjoy of some the cake that was in front of them.

Taking a small bit Eclipsa was a little hesitant to say what school she used to attend. The fact that she left before she could graduate sort of ate her up since her parents certainly weren't supportive of her choice after the incident. "This rundown place called Westbrook Highschool. The place was nearly about to collapse due to how old it was but it was enjoyable. You used the school as a way to make friends so you all can complain about it."Eclipsa explained as she remembered everything in clear detail. From the broken water fountains to the chiping paint the place was clearly dated. Some of the room themselves being locked away due to either someone finding a dead animal or one of the walls were painted with lead.

Ray listened intently, one of his core traits kicking in as he gave her his full attention.

Not until he realized there was actually a slice of cake under his chin.

"Whoa, thanks, Steph. Didn't really expected that. " replied Ray gratefully, taking in his fork to spear the slice and putting it on his mouth. It was actually really relaxing to talk of high school days, given how these are often the most memorable things people would reminisce.

"Never had a high school life, actually. " confessed Ray, "I was home schooled by my folks so they could 'control' the influence on me. In a sense, it did help me academically, since studying was the only thing I could do at home but still-" Ray's voice trailed off as he remembered the things he may never really experience and perhaps never will - a circle of boys around his age, pulling crazy stuff at school, or having your first crush.

Yeah, they were forgotten yearnings at best.

Ray grinned to break his sad thoughts, finishing the last bits of cake and continuing his sentence. "-everyone has had their share of 'good times', regardless of where they came from. It's a good source of drawing strength when it seems like the present and future looks so dark."

Listening politely to his stories Eclipsa enjoyed her cake while trying to imagine what home schooling would be like. It definitely sounded better than some run down place but a teacher for a parent doesn't sound too amusing. I wouldn't imagine my mother teaching me as she was never patient. I think I would of argued than actually learn. Though at least you were in your home the whole time."Eclipsa commented before finishing her cake. Obviously seeing what good it did as Ray seemed a well rounded man.

Speaking of high school did give that old nostalgic feeling of her hay day. All the friends she made, the crushes she had; all distant memories as her gift seemed to change her. Once she left school she seemed to leave behind that free teen lifestyle she's always wanted for something that can get her killed any day.

"You always have something wise to say don't you? Did your home school also teach you to exploit that brain of yours?" Eclipsa teased while playfully pointing her spoon at him.

Ray chuckled, letting arms rest on the table as he got closer to Steph.

"It depends on how you put it," answered Ray, with a sly grin. "I'm still a long way off from reaching that potential. Besides, facts say we're only using 10% of our actual brain power anyways."
