There once was a cake shop that sold marvelous cakes. they were beautiful, delicious and plentiful. But sometimes a cake is too big for a person to eat. Sometimes people would rather eat cookies. This particular cake store invested in a nice little cookie shop, just down the road. It was run by an automatic cookie machine and required no maintenance whatsoever. Cookies were smaller, but also cheaper than cakes. The two stores were part of the same family and supplemented each other perfectly. Business was booming. Time went by and it came to the grand cake-man's attention that there were less cakes being sold. Many people were buying cookies instead. Afterall, cookies were smaller and cheaper than cakes. Less cakes were being sold and not as much money was being made. Several important cake-chefs left the cake shop and the cakes grew bland in flavour and sloppy in presentation. In all this though, people were still buying many, many cookies. Cookies are smaller, but also cheaper than cakes. There came a time when only a few, old customers were hobbling in to buy cakes each day. Something had to be done. Rather than increasing the quality and range of cakes however. the deranged cake-man decided that the best course of action was to destroy the cookie shop, in hopes that people would come running back for more cakes. The deranged cake-man pressed the big red button and the cookie shop crumbled to the ground. There had been no warning, and six cookie addicts were crushed inside, plus two loyal cake-buyers also. People came back to the cake shop to try the cakes again, but what they found was not desirable, and they soon left again. The cake shop did not make any money at all and soon went out of business completely. |

A tragic tale indeed. If only that cake shop had put in some effort to make itself more appealing, and not been so short-sighted and abusive. |

:O awesome story! I bet if the cake dude had tried out new recipes or added in new ingredients it would have made the store get better business. |
