Frost was not excited on this morning. Oh no, absolutely not. Pokemon were terrifying. Once upon a time they were beautiful, they were exciting, but now, they were dangerous. She had already waited three more years than she should have, and it would not be put off any longer, if she was to go on this pokemon journey, she had to now. She thought about her father's Dratini, Rei. Frost didn't go and see the little pokemon as often as she should... at least twice or three times a year. After all she owed her life to this particular pokemon... she couldn't promise much for the other ones. She tried to think of Pokemon that wouldn't be so scary as she got up and got dressed to leave. Perhaps a Clefairy wouldn't be too frightening...they always look bright and happy. Frost triple checked her bag for the Cyndaquil doll her mother had given her. Check. She left the house and locked the door. She waved goodbye to the old man who was currently harvesting tomatoes in the back. Her head down, lost in thought, Frost stepped lightly toward Professor Maple's lab. Professor Maple was a nice man, but he acted a little strange around Frost. Perhaps he was frustrated. A lot of people did not understand why Frost was afraid of pokemon even though one had saved her life. It even made some people angry. "Good morning little miss emo." A very vain girl stood pristine in Frost's path with her hands placed on her hips and a very large grin she wore on her face. "Hello Audrey." Frost replied darkly moving past her. "Come back when you get your Dratini, and I'll show you MY pokemon." She holds a pokeball up to her cheek fondly. "Hopefully you won't be too scared of it." Frost turns her attention back to the road and there stands the figure of the familiar Glaceon plain as day. She follows its prancing feet to the lab silently, as it has not yet done her any good to tell anyone that she could see it. The Glaceon sat a few feet from the path right at the entrance of Professor Maple's lab. Frost blinks and walks into the lab and sits patiently in the lobby. What pokemon could Audrey possibly have that could be any scarier than her family pet Houndour? |

"Ms. Arei, I presume?" asked a man's voice. Frost looked up from her seat to see Professor Maple standing in the doorway, a towering figure as ever. He was rather young for such a prestigious position. It took most Pokemon professor's many more years to reach such an established level. Perhaps that was just a testament to his superior intellect. Whatever the reason, Frost felt a little better under his supervision. "Please, please," coaxed Maple, "Come in. Everything is in order." |

Indeed the man did have a kind voice. She had attended some of his lectures in the past in order to better understand and deal with her fear of pokemon, but it would seem that he was unable to help her. She stood up a bit stiffly. At least she would be getting her father's Dratini to start. She followed Professor Maple. |
