Ulric - The whimpering coming from down the stairs sounds distinctly human and, more to the point, female.

Sir Ulric

Ulric moves closer to the sound, putting away the axe he was unaware he had taken from his belt almost as a reflex.

"You have nothing to fear, ma'am. We mean you no harm, unless you mean us harm... and if that is the case, you may have considered crying quieter."

He smirks a little in spite of himself.

"Please come out."

As you walk down the stairs, you realize you're not walking into a room, but into a long tunnel. As you step deeper down the stairs, you hear a familiar, but very weak voice.

"H-hello? Is someone there? Please. I...I can't come out. I'm...They chained me up and I'm badly injured. Please...Help..."

You step down into the tunnel and, in the dim light, you see at the far end of it in front of a stack of crates and barrels, a very badly beaten and battered Pike.

It's hard to see in the dim light, but even as dim as it is, it is plain to see that Pike is severely injured. As you step forward, you can see a deep wound in her side, as well as red marks near the chains on her wrists and her neck.

Soleil Moonshadow

Soleil heads down the ladder and steps closer. She draws her bow and loads an arrow, pointing directly at Pike. Her blue eyes flare in anger, even after seeing the wounds to the smaller woman.

"Let me guess, you've been down here for weeks and that wasn't the real you we met earlier. Sound about right?"

She flicks a quick glance to Ulric.

"And I don't want to hear anything about sparing her life either. This entire situation reeks and the outcome for her doesn't look good."

Soleil stares down at Pike again as she draws the arrow back.

"I suggest you answer as honest as possible because just looking at a traitor pisses me off."

Sir Ulric

"What happened, Pike? Last time we saw you, you were part of the party that was trying to kill us..."

She looks at you, Ulric, with genuine relief at seeing you, blood pooling around her.

"I...I don't know what happened. I was dragged from my room late last night and brought down here. They...They beat me within and inch of my life and chained me up with this."

She motions to her chains. As she does, you see that they're covered in runes.

"I...I think they dispel magic or something. I've not been able to heal myself since they chained me up. But...They brought someone down here. She cut me and took my blood...Then after a few moments I watched her transform into me right in front of my eyes. I...I don't know her name, but she was a gnome too...With pink hair."

Soleil - The vague description of the gnome sparks something in your memory of a former acquaintance that swore vengeance on your family by the name of Jamna Gleamsilver.

Anyone who wants can make an insight check if you want to check if she is being truthful.

Soleil Moonshadow

Soleil looks at Pike intently, her hand tightening on her bow.

"Last night? And you're sure it was a gnome with pink hair?"

"I hope it's not Jamma Gleamsilver but it wouldn't surprise me since you both have had someone from your past show up with an axe to grind."

Soleil - It's hard for you to get a read on her given that you don't know her that well, but best you can tell she's sincere.

She nods and looks at you intently.

"Yeah. It was pink hair."

Jareth

Jareth leans against the wall, taking it all in, his hand tapping on the hilt of his sword.

"So who's the pink haired bitch?" he says to Soleil and then he turns to Pike. "And any idea where they went?"

As he talks Jareth pulls his sword from his sheath and swings at the chained manacles to cut Pike free.

The sword arcs down and strikes one chain, breaking it in two. Jareth does the same with the other chains, leaving Pike free but with the manacles still on her.

"Thank you," she says genuinely. "Now please...Can we get out of here and figure how to get these things off of me?"

She tries to stand, but falters, falling back to the ground.
