The Klingon Mek'leth-

A viewer was kind enough to lend me a reproduction of this iconic Star Trek blade for review. So I gave it a look based on my experience with swords and historical fencing to get an idea of how well such a design would do in hypothetical combat.

As it turns out it's not bad really. The design is fancy but purposeful and aside from the primitive grip wrapping I couldn't find anything particularly wrong or impractical about it.

Alright, lets all admit it, the Klingon sword or Bat'let from Star trek is monumentally stupid, Why? Well let me explain.

Bat'leth - Lesson 0 - Introduction-

This is a course on how to use the Bat'leth using the House of Fow style. This is the first of the videos covering the history of the Bat'leth and its structure. The rest of the course will be posted over the next year or so. Developed originally for Star Trek the Next Generation, the Bat'leth has developed into a powerful weapon in its' own right.
