INTERESTING NEWS has come from the heart of Eternal Empire territory tonight from their biological research department, currently specializing in rare infectious diseases. The scariest of which being the HUSK virus, known to be extremely pathogenic and with no treatment currently available (as far as we know, after all, who knows what the Ministry of Science has anyways?) Scientist Dr. Xenon Bloom, a researcher on the HUSK samples being kept at a secret super quarantined lab has released a report on the HUSK virus some may find shocking. Below is his statement when we interviewed him on the subject matter.
In other news, thanks to the efforts of the glorious Imperial Fleet "Aionios" order has been restored to the once constantly warring planet of Omnis-12, which has recently joined the Eternal Empire's Union of colonies devoted to long-lasting peace and order. The Fleet also assisted the villagers of Exodus-I3 in ridding the local area of a raider threat. The Civil War on Luna Centaurii still continues, with the horrendous atrocities of the rebels continuing to pile on by the day. We have recieved reports of avian civilians being killed simply due to their choice to remain loyal to their own throne, with one having been found hung upside down, skinned, eyes gouged out, her child being found not too far away. Due to the dangerous of the surface, the fifth and twelfth Imperial fleets "Godsplitter" and "Emperor's Opus" have commenced FTL lane blocking. And now a word from our sponsers: Have you lost a limb recently? Are you one of those people who don't want an inorganic prosthetic? Come to the RegeniCell facility on Agnus IV and have one grown in-vitro for you! Our scientists use specialize methods to harvest your DNA and them combine them with stem cells and nanite infused liquid compounds to create an arm customized for your body! Avians, Apex, Humans, even Penguins! Hytols and Florans are welcome too! We even attach it to where your limb was missing in the first place with a quick and precise surgery! |

Since Lana herself didn't actually watch the news- given the fact she didn't have time to sit down and watch intergalactic television that often- she would've been given the facts in an unofficial report from a few of her crew. Physically, of course, this came in the form of casual conversations over breakfast and on the Iron Rose's Bridge, where casual banter was common. "...I was used as a Husk's dinner for a time" Lana admitted, forcing most of the crew in the proximity to stare at her with doubt or concern. "Back on... Vethus-2, The Reclaimers Raider fleet came. I infiltrated them, but since they turned on their own, the 'higher' Raiders were Husks. One such Husk decided to use me for my blood for a time. In fact, when I managed to escape due to a Lycan ripping the Husk's apart, I almost fainted a dozen times in getting back to my ship- ended up crashing it back on-planet because I did faint. Woke up with Adviser Ixatl over me in The Frontier's old refugee hospital." Lana put her head back a bit and smiled weakly at the memory. "Didn't get infected, evidently." A silence ensued throughout the Bridge as the crew glanced at one another before gazing back at their work. Lana's own silence was broken with a soft sigh as she stroked Red, her snugget, whom was sleeping on her lap. "..Empire was always there, wasn't it, Red?" Lana whispered in a silent sigh to her snugget, whom just purred back. |

*Alothai frowned deeply after watching this, brushing a hand over his forehead.* "That is not promising at all...and the current 'cure' is definitely not going to cut it." |
