At the coordinates -999999999 999999999 there is a system called Malkut Cradle, where I started building some large-scale stuff (following the backstory of my character Apollo). Until some time everything was going well. But then, after some time, I joined the server, and everything was gone. It was not just gone, the planet seemed to revamp completely as it was before the construction. But fine. Stuff happens, the server may have errored. So I started building everything over again. And now it happened again. I joined the server, and the planet was completely empty. Do you have any ideas why this is happening, how can I fix it or is there any sense in starting to build everything once again? P.S. Sorry for any mistakes, English is not my native lang Edited by Apollo, Oct 11 2015, 09:28 AM.

It happened to me too a long time ago, and the reason is probably that everything that ever happens on the server, is pretty much only made for RP that happens on the main hub planet. The server will always automaticly wipe every other planet, except for the main planet. I also noted that the planets don't get revamped, only the spawn location on the planet changes. If anything in this is incorrect, I hope that any admin will correct my mistakes on this speculation. |

We do warn everyone who joins and asks not to build on other planets. The problem is, that as time goes on and people explore, the universe file increases in size. When it gets too big, the server crashes every few minutes until I clear out some space. To clear that space, I delete the universe folder and re-upload another universe folder with just the hubworld in it. To give an example, when I upload the hubworld, the total universe size is about 4mb. When I wipe the universe, it's increased in size to almost 800Mb. That is a LOT of planets, and their naming convention roughly follows: -567775756: 6756757675_7_3.world There is pretty much no way for me to pick out certain worlds to save from the wipe, and certain worlds to delete. Until chucklefish does something to make this an easier process or remove the need for wipes, then I can't support building on the server. These wipes happen every few days. We won't stop you building, but be aware that your progress will be wiped and there is pretty much nothing I can do about it right now. Sorry! |
