Hey everyone! Jimmy says that everyone likes me and that I’m a huge jury threat, but I feel like he might have been overstating his case. But even if I am (which makes me feel kind of good about myself :3 ) I don’t think any of you are giving your item to who is most likeable or social or anything. This isn’t survivor, this is genius, and I wouldn’t want the items because of likability. I want your item because I played a good game that you respect, and a performance that you’re okay with being the winner at the end. I’m not sure how this jury section will go, and I won’t be surprised if you guys just split everything evenly like the players usually do on the actual show. You might also just view it as giving karma in which case I suspect you already have your decision.
But Sangmin is a formidable death match opponent so I obviously will be grateful for any items I get while facing him. I’ll just layout my whole game as concisely as possible so you have as much info to make your decision as possible.
Metagame
Metagame: The meta game was probably most important part. I pretty much started with this strategy: find 2 close allies that extend outside the individual matches that we try to protect outside the context of each game. (I assumed 2 allies would be a good number since I thought the mulligan would happen at 3 before I watched the show) I did not want to make any long term commitments with any more than 2 to avoid stress and betraying people. (Unfortunately, things still got quite messy by the end) With 2 allies to account for I’d still treat each match as an individual self contained game as much as I could and work with whoever was natural. (A bit idealistic)
The two long term allies were initially Sangmin and Dongmin. They both had a couple harsh things to say about the other though lol, so I kind of kept my relationships with the other on the downlow. When Dongmin got eliminated earlier than I would have anticipated, I asked Gura to join pretty much right after, and he was an easy decision ever since we hit it off in the field round 1. Sangmin also really liked him so it could be a more complete 3-way.
Maybe it’s worth mentioning there was a brief thing Sangmin and I tried to set up with Yohwan and Yeonjoo, but Yohwan quickly lurked into elimination, and Yeonjoo got eliminated round 3, so that was over pretty quick. Rip. (Also Yeonjoo, as I hinted at earlier, we knew Sunggyu was initially deciding between targeting you and Doohee, but I told him I’d prefer Doohee. I knew there was a chance he’d pick you, but it wasn’t a premeditated snipe to eliminate you, and up until his announcement I wasn’t sure who he would end up picking because a couple other names like Hongchul were on his mind as well.)
For most of the early rounds, our group had the “other group” of Junghoon, Jimmy, and Doohee to unite against since they seemed tight, and were talking in code to each other. Jimmy and Doohee kind of ended up joining up with us later though after Junghoon got eliminated, but I’m not even sure if Junghoon was allied with them that much?
(By the way Junghoon, in the card game, when you were with me, Gura, and Hongchul, I asked for you to work with us that round. You agreed and then ditched us next room phase so you rejected me first

By the next round, me and Doohee agreed to target you so I couldn’t work with you then. At least I think Doohee did? He kept making vague statements about how he’d give you immunity if he won. I don’t even understand your relationship with Doohee. But I didn’t want to waste an opportunity to crack the “other big alliance”. So by that point I felt it was too late. Based on what Jimmy told me later, we grossly overestimated how close you guys were.)
Eventually Doohee asked to make a 4 way alliance with me, him, Sangmin, and Jimmy. I didn’t want to lie about anything, so I straight up told him I didn’t have room since I was allied with Gura too, but I’d be willing to go to 5. At this point I actually thought Doohee didn’t accept it because it would be too messy (and it was lol) But later on he was actually doing quite a bit to protect Gura because of our deal so he actually had agreed to it which I honestly didn’t think he did. Must have been miscommunication. Unfortunately, by that point we had already set up a 4 way joint for balloon game and he got eliminated that round.
Anyway, at this point, I started getting stressed because I had meta-deals with Gura, Sangmin, Jimmy (through the Doohee deal), and I was always lowkey allied with Sunggyu. It wasn’t as strong because he was a lot less active, but I had always kind of considered him the unofficial 4th to the 3 way Gura/Sangmin/ me alliance. (based off our 1,2,3 game)
At the start of the game, I kept it at 2 allies to avoid a situation like this, but I felt like I was going to be betraying someone no matter who I sent to the death match at this point. So I pretty much went “screw it” and worked with Jiwon that round and stopped caring lol. I targeted Jimmy because I thought he was the biggest threat, and Gura and Sangmin were still my top 2 allies over anyone else.
Anyway, I never did succeed at taking out Jimmy until after the mulligan anyway, but the game was becoming more and more individual up to that point too and alliances less important. I think that's the barebones overview of my game though. The elimination system here was really swingy and hard to account for. I had to adapt to account for the change of format in the way I made alliances and worked with people. I’m still amazed that both me and Sangmin are the final 2, and that Gura was with us in the final 4. No such thing as goats in this game. We all worked our butts to get this far.
Other categories probably quicker. This game is becoming a blur.
Food chain
Food chain game was pretty brutal. I couldn't find a way to win since I was the snake. So when I was at peace with that I was more focused on traveling around and making connection with people for later games. I got some alone time with Sangmin during this phase so <3 . I also got some pretty good time with Gura before a lion mercilessly devoured him in front of my eyes. I think the connections I made here are part of the reason I was in pretty good footing for the first half of the game.
In terms of actual match strategizing though, I didn't do much here.
Fruit Shop
#Team Melons! This was when the games started for me. It was Yeonjoo, me, Jimmy and Jiwon who were melons, but Sangmin was in the room as well.
Me and Sangmin made fruit switches so we could all be melons, and cover every other fruit. Jimmy was the only person who wasn't totally on board with the group but we ended up convincing him to join up. The beginning of Jimmy’s corruption. With us sabotaging the other groups, we knew the winner would be one of us 5. I ended up going with Yeonjoo to her other fruit group and we organized for that fruit to be 5 as well so she'd be the sole winner. She didn’t really want to do it though because she felt like she was betraying the melons, but at that point there wasn’t a joint anyway so we justified it.
1,2,3 game
This game was fun. I had a good placement last game so I had DM viewing room selection powers, and organized working with Gura and Sunggyu this round. We then joined up with Sangmin. The three of us minus sunggyu were discussing what to do. We figured out pretty much instantly what Hongchul's group plan was and whether it was worth trying to beat. Then Sunggyu comes out of nowhere and is like, "Don't worry bbs. I got your backs. Take my cards and I'll go to the death match." So with that it was pretty hard to lose, especially since Jimmy, Doohee, and Jiwon ended up joining up with us that round.
Once I started losing to Sangmin we decided I should just keep losing to him. And oh dear, if one of the final death match games involves cards, that's going to be funny.
Dollars and Cents
This game was a bit harder for me. I'm not as good at wifom games. It was fun spending pages analyzing whether Jiwon was lying or telling the truth, and figuring what to do, but it was relatively straightforward and we lost.
Royal Flush game
This game was went very well. Gura, Hongchul, and I split off and worked together for this one. We had Gura bid a small amount on every card and between the 3 of us we got pretty much every card and the game was already over. I actually felt really guilty about Hongchul getting eliminated this round, because he was part of the team with me and Gura. I thought about it after and thought we may have been able to get a 3 way joint in getting straight flushes, but oh well.
Fishing Game
This game was another pretty fun one. I actually didn't do a whole lot this time and sheeped Gura's suggestions since I was shorter on time. But I am quite proud of myself for figuring out Doohee would be the sole winner if I submitted my item at the end. So I chose to actively not submit to ensure Sangmin won. (Doohee was making vague statements about giving immunity to Junghoon that round if he won so I wasn't too keen on him being the sole winner.)
Balloon Game
This was the highlight for me. I was so excited when I studied the game a bit and figured out what made the balloon drop. I believe I was the first to figure it out, but someone can correct me on that if I’m wrong. After that I noticed there was an easy joint, and I quickly organized it.
Prison Game
Uggh, this one wasn't as good. Jiwon and I really have no excuse losing this one. If you don't know what happened, you could probably read the main thread. We almost won and I'm quite sure we had a strategy that won it quicker than Jimmy and Gura. We just didn't have good communication, and they kind of bluffed us into thinking we had no chance. We gave them a run for their money though.
The rest
The rest are probably pretty straightforward in knowing what happened reading the main threads.
The speed game was awful. I had strategies, just that none of them worked.
The break the bank one worked pretty well and I won that one with Jimmy.
Scotland Yard was a pretty fun one too, despite being pretty long. Again, pretty much everything happened in the main thread.
So to summarize, I think I played a very smart and strategic game.
I was very active in organizing things or groups to get the victories and outcomes I wanted. I won or was immune for many of them. Even a couple of the ones I wasn't I still actively decided who the winner would be.
I think I played a well rounded game. I worked well with people, I worked well alone, I was adaptable to the challenges and situations at hand. I was pretty good at brainstorming strategies to give me a better shot at immunity or winning.
I'm happy to get more specific on any questions about relationships, strategies, metaplans or whatever throughout the game. I might not be able to respond too quickly after tonight, but I will answer them.
I really did enjoy playing with all of you. This will be a game I remember fondly for a long time. That said, I'm going to save most of my compliments until post game so it doesn't sound insincere.
