Yes. The ending was what made this movie. And the best part is just how much care they took foreshadowing it, not just with the music and pop culture references (especially the Lisa Loeb bit), but with all the cars, license plates, and cell phones being from the late '90s. I've seen "serious" films set in the past that didn't take that much care to establish the time period (Pain & Gain, for instance, was supposedly set in the mid '90s but had Plymouth Prowlers and billboards with website URLs), and here, the reveal of the film being a prequel was a twist.

It just goes to show how much care was put into this movie overall. It was like they were apologizing for The Final Destination -- every facet of this film, from the characters to the kills to the opening disaster, was one of the best in the series. Even if they never make another one of these films, they will still have sent the series out on a high note.

My full review is here.
Yassss, stan 4 it :teriwhat:

When you walk into the room. You pull me close and we start to move
And we're spinning with the stars above. And you lift me up in a wave of love
Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first. We'll make heaven a place on earth
