Leatherface (2016?)

So, there's another Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie coming out, this one a prequel focusing on the man who became Leatherface. It's being directed by the makers of Inside, Angela Bettis will be playing the mother of the Sawyer family, and according to this report, the script will have it so that two characters are set up to become Leatherface, only one of whom actually grabs a chainsaw at the end.

They had me at Angela Bettis. Even if the rest of the movie is awful, I haven't yet seen her deliver a bad performance. (Not even the 2002 Carrie remake.) And it can't be worse than Texas Chainsaw 3D... can it?

I really enjoy watching the remake and it's prequel. It just fits so well together. And kudos to them for filming close to each other so the film's cinematography feels the same.

Besides those, i enjoy the original and four for replay value. Four is such a horrible film but it's so much fun to watch, and i love the 90's feel.

It'll be interesting to see a prequel for the original story. They just better not make it a 3D level flop.

4 is god awful. I can't sit through it. I've heard of people enjoying it and I just cannot see why. To me, there is nothing enjoyable about it. I guess Matthew Mc gives a good performance as does Renee Z. Still so crazy that they appeared in that shitshow of a movie in the Texas Chainsaw franchise.

3 gives me a lot of Jason Goes to Hell feels with the tone of it and all.

The thought if it's as bad as 3D... :icant:

Best continuity, besides the original alone is definitely the remake and it's prequel.

It'd be cool if they continued that continuity at some point.
This.
Released:
Legion/The Back Trail/Carrie | Elm Street | Maple Lane

I really want Lionsgate to just release this already. I am not particularly hyped to see it, but I am interested to see how this performs overall since a lot of the other older horror franchises are dormant.
