Love the Ralph idea! A prequel with Carrie's father sounds interesting!

Glad you like the idea. :) I'm excited to do both whenever the time comes.

There are so many implications that Ralph was the one to pass on the power. Both in the book and the movies. I always wondered what his story was, so I'm excited to tell that sorry. Though neither will be a straight adaptation I am going to do a lot different to separate myself from the other versions.

hmm a prequel can either break the Carrie storyline, or make it better. RN though, the fact he randomly gets this power is kinda troubling, and what would the climax be in considering it doesn't sound like this power affects him? Or maybe it does? and like is it necessary?

As for Carrie, what makes her get the power all so suddenly? Shouldn't she be born with this power in the first place. This movie has been redone countless times, so if you do redo it, try your hardest to capture a dramatic coming of age tale with a tragic end, but with something that makes it unique. Don't just copy everything all the other sequels did with this. It's a hard script to remake. I personally don't think the original movie should be remade. It's a timeless drama that still works today, with the original cast, and with the original movie.

The prequel is definitely necessary to tell the overall story of my version of events in Carrie. And he definitely doesn't randomly get the power either. A lot of the prequel deals with the origins of the power in general and how it effects Ralph and drives Margaret to becoming as insane as she is in the original story. That's about all I can give away without spoiling it. It really is going good to explain a lot more about the powers than other adaptations though.

And trust me my Carrie is going to be miles different from the others. That's why I'm not calling it an adaptation it's 100% a re imagining that's going to change a ton of shit. But the prom and town destruction are of course the centerpiece.

Trust me I want to pay respect to the original story. But my Carrie two parter is definitely it's own beast entirely.

They said I wasn't good enough for television. How do you like me now, voices in my head?
What idea is that? 928?

1232.

Oh and projecting to start work on Ralph roughly this summer casting and story wise. So I'm hoping for late this year or early 2017 for this one. Depending on how well it goes. But Carrie would follow suit sometime after.
