So, we apparently have a writer now, can't speak much on him, but for fuck's sake, they took long enough (just based on him being a producer on Hannibal tho, I have high hopes).

Look around you. Kind of amazing, isn't it?
This franchise is in trouble.
This doesn't have to be a day of sadness.

David Bruckner was brought in for the original found footage version but was still kept when they scrapped that idea. Nick Aconsta was brought in for the 80s period version that wanted to capture the spirit of the Paramount versions. This is not longer the case.

Hopefully the game is good, well received and makes a shit ton of a money.

I'm glad the found footage idea is scrapped. I don't like found footage movies to begin with; especially for a Friday film. It makes no sense to make an addition to a series in found footage form when none of the other films are.

They need to stick with the film that explains Jason and his story.
Released:
Legion/The Back Trail/Carrie | Elm Street | Maple Lane

They said I wasn't good enough for television. How do you like me now, voices in my head?
Yes glad the found footage idea is gone. I just want a simple Friday with counselors (and campers maybe) and a fun Jason. I dont think thats a lot to ask for.

I honestly don't get the negative response 2 the "coming-of-age" concept? Sure, it doesn't work w/ FF @ ALL, but as it's own beast, I could c it being a creative spin on the franchise :muffsmirk:

It'd basically be a bit more of a dramatic, character-driven spin on the typical Friday tale in this instance w/ every1 being connected thru some ongoing theme, kind of It Follows-esque, but @ the same time, not totally, if I'm making sense :gabyphone:

Oop :chloecackle: Ya, I think coming-of-age can work RLY well if handled by the right person, so some1 would just have 2 blend the tones between that & a typical Friday film & things would work out well :getinline:
