So, we apparently have a writer now, can't speak much on him, but for fuck's sake, they took long enough (just based on him being a producer on Hannibal tho, I have high hopes).

Look around you. Kind of amazing, isn't it?
I just want to see people die.
This doesn't have to be a day of sadness.

I just want to see people die.
U might wanna bump ur expectations a bit higher than that cuz dying can still go wrong *looks @ the generally forgettable crop of deaths in the remake* :letsnot:

T'CHALLA OF WAKANDA
My personal wish list:

Going back to what made Jason so iconic in the first place. Make him brutal and truly creepy again. No zombie shit. I want him running bleeding and still fucking getting up.

A lead that reminds me of why I love Alice, Ginny, and Megan so much. A strong willed character we can root for.

Creative deaths. Goes without saying.

Bring something new to the table. A lot of fanfictions have great ideas. Snow, putting Pamela and Jason on screen TOGETHER, having a fully open and functioning camp being massacred. Do something bold and different while still feeling like a Friday film.

Don't try to bring Tommy Jarvis back. I love him. But give us a new big adversary for Jason. One that a new generation can come to love as much as Tommy. Kinda goes hand in hand with the part about a new lead.

More Crystal Lake. We get to see so little of the town, even in VI. Why not try and give it more screen time! Maybe the new cast of characters live there. That could be fun and add more of an edge. Especially if the massacre were to extend beyond the camp.

No 80s movie please. I agree this needs to be modern. Update it for the modern audiences while still delivering something is older fans will love.

Full 100% reboot. The original movie series ran its course. The first reboot failed to reboot anything. Start the story over from the beginning to entice those who don't know it to go and see it.

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in.

I would not mind another film set in the 80s and/or a sequel/midquel to the OG series, AT ALL.

I am honestly excited to see who they get to direct this. David Bruckner was an inspired choice but I see them getting someone more standard and in line for the franchise.
