A continuation of the saga created by George Lucas set thirty years after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).

When you walk into the room. You pull me close and we start to move
And we're spinning with the stars above. And you lift me up in a wave of love
Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first. We'll make heaven a place on earth

The Force Awakened, But I Think It Should Go Back To Sleep
Ya, this was definitely overrated, but @ least it tried in comparison 2 JW's trashy rebooty ass, which pales in comparison 2 this, as messy as this ended up being. Marathoned the entire franchise prior 2 watching this, as I said I would & while it's MUCH better than any of the prequels wish they were, it doesn't come close 2 holding a candle 2 the original series, even the weakest of the 3. Even tho it wasn't as ridiculously long as either II/III were, I felt as if some extra length could've actually done this film some good cuz it was far 2 busy 4 its own good & things ended up coming off like they were only around 1/2-assed in the end,. Such things include the return of the original ensemble, which is mainly resorted 2 Han w/ Chewie by his side 4 a majority of the film while Leia, C-3PO, & R2-D2 arrive 1/2-way into the film & Luke is only given a cameo appearance, & the fact that the new ensemble is poorly handled as is when I would've @ least been more understanding had the film actually seemed 2 give fuck all about them. We're not rly given much indication into the whole 1st Order backstory & all of the antagonists just come & go w/out much left 2 engage u in themselves like Darth Vader did in the original trilogy. As 4 the protagonists, they seemed more or less trying 2 just recreate the whole "trio" aspect while not actually giving us any indication into Poe's characterization aside from him being a rebel pilot, doing much 2 establish how exactly Finn was a Stormtrooper being the little bitch he came off as the entire film, & giving Rey a more natural & less formulaic approach 2 being Force sensitive, which came off as nothing more than a whole convenient, harsh, Mary Sue-ish route that I'm not interested in @ all w/ the BB-8 addition as a discount R2-D2. There isn't rly anything here u haven't already seen b4 either, since all the locations just felt recycled & the story was fairly weak in comparison 2 the original run. I'd hope the move away from J.J. Abrams 4 the following 2 installments means we're gonna get some sort of substance or explanation 2 things aside from the superficial approach this film served up, but given that each following installment in each trilogy focused heavily on a romance sub-plot, I have my doubts as 2 how well the next 1 will be handled or how the rest of this trilogy as a whole will be. As I said in the general thread, 7 & 1/2 fleeting Billie Lourd appearances (which weren't as many as she even had in the film) outta 10.

*Sigh*

The Mandalorians are a warrior race in the Star Wars universe, they are notoriously bounty hunters. And Jedi haters Bobba Fett is one of them.

They just revealed on the cartoons basically that REN as in KYLO REN is apparently one of their many houses.

So essentially. The Knights of Ren are in some way connected to the Mandalorians. Which is interesting, because I've NEVER heard of a force sensitive Mandalorian in any form of canon.

For more on Mandalorians or if you still don't know who the fuck or what the fuck I'm talking about here's basically "Mandalorians for Dummies": http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalorian
