What are you thinking bothers you?

Other than that, I loved the film, the acting, the characters. Everything was brilliant. JJ Abrams directed the shit out of this movie.

Those two are gripes of mine as well.

Another is Rey. She's too good. Like, she's awesome at everything.

I thought John Williams score was quite weak, though hopefully it gets better with time and more re-watches.

Some key things seemed to have been cut. The Maz Kanata bit felt 'off' and kinda out of place. What the fuck happened to Phasma?

That being said. I enjoyed the film a lot and it actually feels like a Star Wars film unlike the Prequels, and it will be an easy one to re-watch, I just don't think it'll hold up as well as the originals as time passes. I think people are looking at it with rose-tinted glasses at the moment. It's flawed, but very fun. I just want a bit more from Star Wars.

Well I will agree it wasn't perfect. But I don't think it followed it as much as people are making it out to be. I always expected it to be a pseudo-reboot though, so maybe that's just me. But I think its easy to see the next ones will go in new directions seeing the plot points they set up.

That said I think the IMDB haters make me need a glass of wine.
Also Phasma will return she's a huge part of the new trilogy according to what I've read.

Just came back from seeing it. And you know what? I highly enjoyed it. It's not perfect but it's a fun ride with some good characters and I think it fits quite well into the Star Wars cinematic universe.

Loved BB-8. Rey was cool, and it was nice to see a female character within the universe kicking some ass. I've read complaints about

Finn was slightly naive but quite likable. Poe was underused IMO. Was nice to meet Han Solo and Chewie again. They're still like a married old couple like they used to be in the originals, except well, now they actually are old.

I feels like more of a A New Hope remake but The Force Awakens sets up the new trilogy quite nicely. There's so much they can do with it now and I'm looking forward to Episode 8.

But my, oh my...
