It's apparently a 20 years later type of deal instead of a remake.
Which is just as bad of an idea, if not worse :boredele:

Here's the link to that story.

Personally, I think it's a better idea than a straight remake, though I do agree with Rachel True's thoughts on the matter: why not make a new movie about teenage witches? Oh, Hollywood, you and your franchise obsession.

Well, I mean, we saw how well the sequel 2 Carrie & The Lost Boys & The Hitcher went, so I think just about any remotely well-known horror movie that gets a sequel tacked on2 it way 2 many yrs after the fact will spell 4 a shitty situation, outside Psycho 2 that just somehow managed 2 be a happy accident that happened 2 have a lot of care that went in2 the product, but if u don't have some1 that's gonna @ least try 2 commit, which I have a feeling this won't becuz of the studios' increasingly ridiculous obsession w/ franchises, then it's just not worth my or any1 else's time CUZ it's gonna end up beinanother pale, hollow knock-off that wishes it were as great as he original; I realize that isn't the case w/ everything, but it's getting rather silly rn

When you walk into the room. You pull me close and we start to move
And we're spinning with the stars above. And you lift me up in a wave of love
Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first. We'll make heaven a place on earth

Slaughter

I'm kinda excited. Even if the script is bad I'm sure we will get good direction from the director who directed Honeymoon (which is apparently REALLY good) and the best episode of Scream.
