At the behest of his former friend "Evil" Ed, Charley Brewster delves into the connection between the missing students at their school & his new neighbor, Jerry Dandridge. Coming to the realization that he's in for more than he bargained for upon discovering people locked within Jerry's house, Charley must come to terms with the fact that his neighbor may not only be responsible for the disappearances, but that he could be a creature of the night - a vampire.

As someone who had been worried during this film's production, I can wholeheartedly say that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Not only did it EXCEED expectations, but it's probably one of the better remakes I've seen, even if I've only watched once (obvi nothing against the film, vampires are just a sub-genre I like to take in sparingly). It managed to pull off several creative differences whilst retaining a structural similarity that I have a fondness for. I'd arguable compare it to Sorority Row since it's neither straight-forward, even if you know what to expect, if I'm making sense. I'm definitely in need for a rewatch soon to refresh the gaps in my memory tho, but it's a definite recommend if you haven't seen (watch the originals first, tho).

I really like this movie, one of my favorite Colin Farrell performances too. Still never seen the original even though I've owned it for almost a decade.
Wow, u should pop it in. :woahmama:
I should, but I won't.
This doesn't have to be a day of sadness.

True, I'll see if I can get someone to watch it with me this weekend.
