"This isn't over...this isn't over by a long shot!"
|
![]() While studying abroad in Romania, Charley Brewster & his friends find themselves caught up within a tale of seduction & bloodlust upon discovering that their arts professor, Gerri Dandridge, is, in fact, a vampire, desperately seeking the blood of a virgin to retain her youthful appearance & must stop her before the new moon rises. Needless to say, them passing this off as a Fright Night film when it could've easily worked as a stand alone, with some changes here & there, is ultimately why this skirted under the radar. Most of the marketing points to a shitty straight-to-video sequel, but it's moreso another remake, so I don't understand them labeling it as a sequel, but I digress. Some of the casting is actually more in line with the original than the remake's was, nothing against the remake, as I stated having a preference for it, but just as someone who LOVES the original, it's easy to distinguish. It's the one that stands the most apart from the others for some of the decisions made, not only in switching the primary antagonist's gender to stay true to the original sequel. Given, I've only seen this once, but I mean, if my original loving ass didn't skewer this, then that must say something. |

The random arguments above w/ the emotes. ![]() This wasn't too bad though. It had some fun scenes and gore. Nothing great though or even remotely good. |

The trailer looked like a straight-up remake of the first film, right down to the vampire having the same name (but with "Jerri" being a woman this time). I thought it was ridiculous when I first heard about it. |
