After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents.

The carnage scene on the beach absolutely made this movie. The great cast and sense of humor were icing on the cake. Easily one of the best splatter flicks this century, and way better than the sequel. (Seriously, 3DD?)

It does what it sets out to, which is more than a lot of films do. I have it on Blu. Love it! Great fun. Gianna Michaels' (pornstar cameo) parasailing death is just greatness.

I actually liked this film, the comedy was done right and there was pretty intense scenes. The sequel sucked but i oddly enjoy it.

What the hell happened to Alexandre Aja? Back in the 2000s he was easily the most successful director to come out of the New Wave of French Horror and was up there with James Wan but after this his career took a bit of a stumble. Horns really didn't do anything and I see absolutely no interest in The 9th Life of Louis Drax despite having a pretty high profile cast.
