A hardworking and bright high-school senior, Leigh Ann (Katie Holmes) has her impending status as valedictorian jeopardized when her bitter history teacher, Mrs. Tingle (Helen Mirren), gives her a poor grade on a project. This antagonistic relationship quickly escalates until circumstances lead Leigh Ann and her friends Luke (Barry Watson) and Jo Lynn (Marisa Coughlan) to hold Tingle hostage in her home. As the conflict continues, it looks as if not everyone will make it out alive.

The only film ever to be directed by Kevin Williamson.

Another dark teen comedy that is a mess of a movie. I mean I found it entertaining but not good at all.

Williamson had a script.
He sold out 2 PG-13-afy it when it was meant 2 be R Rated & a knock-off off 1 of flop ass Lois Duncan's novels.
& the charries r all trash aside from the teacher herself, yet they win in the end & it's legit the SQ finale ugh kill me.

Kevin Williamson made this whole movie about some real teacher who said he couldn't write and then it was changed and dumped because it released after Columbine and he apparently hates it now. Mrs. Tingle is great though, Helen Mirren was gold despite just doing it for the paycheck.
